Yeah the plans are still there. with the addition of tunnels there is a slight bug that I'm deciding the best way to avoid it. Other than that it's just finding the time
Well yeah... dah i did say none of the architecture is done. it will be a full station not just a platform. This was just to see if the game mechanics work. Ie do the pedestrians use the bridge (yes) do they walk down to the platform from the bridge (yes) etc
You have to lay down "pedestrian connections". It can be done with the Advanced Building mod. Please - how do you manipulate the Cims to walk on your mesh in a specific way? How do you path them to walk "down the stairs" and across the bridge like you do? I'm completely lost at how you guys are manipulating the assets to get the Cims to use your walkways, paths, etc. in the asset itself.....
I'm also working on a submerged station. Here is a first screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/sXQOn6Z.jpgYeah the plans are still there. with the addition of tunnels there is a slight bug that I'm deciding the best way to avoid it. Other than that it's just finding the time
Nice!!! i've finally managed to get the tunnel entrances to stay in place with the default game so mine won't need penguins mod, but I'm super keen to use his mod too! I'll probs finish the elevated on the weekend and the submerged soon after, given uni timeI'm also working on a submerged station. Here is a first screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/sXQOn6Z.jpg
I solved the shadow problems with a custom "underground train station track". It does not modify the terrain, like a tunnel, but has a visible mesh.
Oh i completely forgot about it. maybe I'll go back and finish it soon! sorryI have been SCOURING the internet and the Steam Workshop looking for a station that is EXACTLY like this one! Did you ever finish it??? I can find sunken stations that use underground rail, but I don't want the rail underground--I just want it in a trench :-(
This would be incredible! I always try to create grade separation, especially close to my urban core, and so I tend to trench a lot of my rail and freeway. A station that would sit at street level and allow passengers to get to a platform that is below grade would be INCREDIBLE! I like having my rails in trenches instead of underground because then you can see an awesome view from way below as you ride the train. I'm from Cleveland, and this is the way a good deal of the heavy passenger rail system is run here...and it's like that a lot in Chicago too. I can't even begin to tell you how long I've been looking for this!Oh i completely forgot about it. maybe I'll go back and finish it soon! sorry
