Yeah the plans are still there. with the addition of tunnels there is a slight bug that I'm deciding the best way to avoid it. Other than that it's just finding the time

Well yeah... dah i did say none of the architecture is done. it will be a full station not just a platform. This was just to see if the game mechanics work. Ie do the pedestrians use the bridge (yes) do they walk down to the platform from the bridge (yes) etc

Please - how do you manipulate the Cims to walk on your mesh in a specific way? How do you path them to walk "down the stairs" and across the bridge like you do? I'm completely lost at how you guys are manipulating the assets to get the Cims to use your walkways, paths, etc. in the asset itself.....

You have to lay down "pedestrian connections". It can be done with the Advanced Building mod.

to fine-tune the paths, you can use my network hacking scripts: Here is a tutorial. You just have to modify a few things in the scripts.

I'm also working on a submerged station. Here is a first screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/sXQOn6Z.jpg

I solved the shadow problems with a custom "underground train station track". It does not modify the terrain, like a tunnel, but has a visible mesh.

Nice!!! i've finally managed to get the tunnel entrances to stay in place with the default game so mine won't need penguins mod, but I'm super keen to use his mod too! I'll probs finish the elevated on the weekend and the submerged soon after, given uni time

Boformer is also doing submerged station - it connects to rail tunnels. With bad peanuts creation and all the rest - the rail system will never be the same.
Just 15 hours ago the first elevated train station (by jens) was released to workshop :)

I have been SCOURING the internet and the Steam Workshop looking for a station that is EXACTLY like this one! Did you ever finish it??? I can find sunken stations that use underground rail, but I don't want the rail underground--I just want it in a trench :-(

Oh i completely forgot about it. maybe I'll go back and finish it soon! sorry

This would be incredible! I always try to create grade separation, especially close to my urban core, and so I tend to trench a lot of my rail and freeway. A station that would sit at street level and allow passengers to get to a platform that is below grade would be INCREDIBLE! I like having my rails in trenches instead of underground because then you can see an awesome view from way below as you ride the train. I'm from Cleveland, and this is the way a good deal of the heavy passenger rail system is run here...and it's like that a lot in Chicago too. I can't even begin to tell you how long I've been looking for this!

Something like the station you started making above would make this look so much better (except I could use this station in at least 3 other places in this city alone!

And if you happen to be BadPeanut, I want to say THANK YOU for creating the Modular Through Station. That was an amazingly simple improvement to my rail transit and metro lines! I'm using it in this city as my central railroad station with two additional rail platforms, and I have three metro lines that go through as well.
