I guess I will try to turn it off and restart the same campaign again. Every autosave now make me a theocracy when I launch them when ATT I was landless so unfortunately I can't try that out.
You should be able to edit the save to take away the Pontifex Maximus title, I believe.

One of my duchies (in Raethia) has disbanded from me and got independece... and it happens something very strange: each month, the colour of his realm suddenly changes and he has an unknow king (called `silent Caesar of Landless Hall`) who is his new lord... for only 2 or 3 days, when the former situation (the duke independent without new lord) comes back.

The problem is that if I try to re-conquer the duchy, in the middle of the war the situation that I've described happens too... and the war finnishes suddenly because the casus belli is invalid. What can I do?

I think is a bug... isn't it?

How did this duke become independent?

...I think so: the man was the boss of Legion I Noricum and I gave him a realm exactly in that region.

Some days or weeks later the legion disappeared and he got independece, disbanned.
That must have created a conflict between the titles and the assigned government types, the legions have special mechanics so they are not meant to be landed in the mod and their holders can not combine several titles. We have added several restrictions for the legion government, but I'm not sure it is possible to completely disable granting titles when they remain vassalised.

Ok... so in conclusion: is better not to land a boss of a legion. Right?

There's an extra pixel south of c_rass in provinces.bmp that makes it adjacent to c_ka_ab. There's also a stray pixel just north of c_badiyatashsham.
Noted.

I am playing a run as the Merovingians/Frankia. In 611 in mid February it crashes. I have slowed it down, I have restarted it, I have loaded multiple autosaves but no matter what some time between Feb 5, 611 and Feb 12, 611 the game crashes. What could be something that causes this?

Thanks!

Please go through all of this:

Make sure that you are not running any other mods besides WtWSMS (nothing else checked in the launcher)
Make sure that you are running the latest version of the mod, old versions won't be maintained
Make sure that you are running the right version of CK2
Make sure that your base vanilla game is working

Some people have a slightly different setup from the normal, so make sure to let us know:

If you have altered any files

What is the correct checksum?
Is the most recent version of CKII the right version to be running?
I'm running the release from April 2020.
And the only mods I'm running are WtWSMS, WtWSMS Fonts, and WtWSMS African Portraits.

CWZH, to my knowledge.

Yes.

And you are not on Mac? Can you attach a save of this game in this thread for us to check?

I'm running Windows 10.
I've attached one of my saves with the bug I previously described.

Also, I just reinstalled the mod, and even after the reinstallation my Checksum is TKWQ, not CWZH.
I do not own/use Sunset Invasion or Conclave, but I own and am running all other expansions and roughly 1/3 of the cosmetic/minor DLCs.

I'm still not entirely sure on significance but should 1573 (Wight) be listed in island_region.txt along with the other British provinces?
Yes it should, that allows for the usage of is_island.

I have already made a separate thread (in hindsight probably should have mentioned it here instead) about sub-roman to feudalism switching happening way too soon. However, there are one or two more things I noticed which stand out to me as bugs.
  • Ostrogothic Kingdom becomes full-on bureaucratic after the conquest of Italy succeeds. The dev diary regarding the government update stated that Sub-Roman governments have "the ability of becoming Bureaucratic, provided they attain a certain size, the empire-level and are independent", but the Ostrogoths did not create an Empire title upon the conquest in my game, so it seems like there's something wrong.
  • Ostrogothic Kingdom retains its event-spawn reinforcements from the Eastern Roman Empire after the conquest of Italy. This might not be a bug, since I don't know if there's a mechanic for event-spawn troops to automatically despawn, but it doesn't seem right for some 10 thousand Eastern Roman soldiers being staying in service of the Ostrogoths instead of going home.
