Using the Hotfix (1.01) I can only see portraits for a very short duration. After a few clicks, all portraits vanish from the game, and so do the backgrounds.

What portraits DLC:s do you have enabled? Does this happen to all or only some cultures portraits?

The mod CTD's on startup every time. I am using the Hotfix, all major DLC's, and am running the most recent CKII version.

Looks like all of them are effected. Happens with only the mongol face pack, and also with no face packs whatsoever.

Have you tried removing your DLC files and then verifying with Steam?

Does the vanilla game in version 2.3 work fine for you? I'm afraid that there are some vanilla issues with the Linux version, so it will be quiet hard to help you.

Vanilla works fine, except for the occasional CTD. They don't happen very often.

Seems like a big issue that suprises me, what version are you using? Is it like this only on this scenario? Are your vanilla files cleared? Is the mod installed in the correct folder?

I'm using the latest version of the mod and CKII with all the DLCs. It is like this in both of the 480 start dates but not the others. Yes and Yes. I'm reinstalling the game and the mod so I'll see if that fixes it.

Yes. HIP runs fine and so does Nova Monumenta Iaponiae Historica

Windows 8.1, game crashes on start-up. Can load vanilla. Have hotfix and all major DLCs.

There appears to be an extra bracket in the Hebrew culture after the cultural names.
Also, the reformed versions of religions are available in Ruler Designer. Is that on purpose?

So I was playing the mod today and when the game reached the 13th of December, 492, the game crashes to desktop. I have all of the major DLC packs, and all of the portrait packs. The only two mods I have running with the game is Korbah's mini-map and the portrait fix for mongol children. I did not grab the release version of the mod however, and instead installed the hotfix, could that be the problem?

Cephalonia seems to have no ruler at the December 10th 480 start

I'm using the latest version of the mod and CKII with all the DLCs. It is like this in both of the 480 start dates but not the others. Yes and Yes. I'm reinstalling the game and the mod so I'll see if that fixes it.

Reinstalling everything appears to have fixed it.

The Robin Hood event, got it as Vandals. It never ends when it comes to it's conclusion just goes back to the choice of what to do event chain.

I can't marry off a character since the mod still uses the pre WoL system of interacting.

It may be a rather minor thing, but one of the straits from Bahrain leads to Dhu Zabi instead of Qatar.
