With the unit types, for example with Steppe horse archers.
Is there possibility to have 2 or more different types of cavalry, like lancers and archers mixed, unlike in EU4, where you can have only 1 type of cavalry?

yes

I imagine important people like that would be scripted in. Idk anything about Timur but I imagine it might be an event like the events that give you Elizabeth and Mary as England in eu4

yeah, that will happen

Anyway quick question - I'm sure the combat mechanics will be improved greatly, but I wanted to know if you're planning on sticking with the usual visual representation of combat where you have very little abstraction from the actual dice rolls under the hood and essentially looks like a bunch of numbers on a spreadsheet duking it out for a couple seconds and your reward is a post-duking-out equation with 2 sprites. Not that I hate that type of representation, but I was curious to see if you're planning on experimenting with something different.

I like excel :p

Is the manpower you raise for armies directly your pops or is manpower some arbitration where the more pops you have the more manpower you gain per month. And if units take damage will lose pops?

Its an "abstracted layer" of how many of your peasants are possible soliders

The units stats/type are easy moddable?

Code:
a_steppe_horse_archers = {
    category = army_cavalry

    copy_from = a_age_1_traditions_cavalry
    max_strength = 0.1

    morale_damage_done = 0.2
    initiative = 5

    movement_speed = 1.0

    combat = {
        grasslands = 0.2
        sparse = 0.2
    }

    maintenance_demand =  steppe_horse_archers_maintenance
    construction_demand = steppe_horse_archers_construction

    gfx_tags = { archer_tag light_tag }
}

Is raising levies instant, or does it depend on how much control you have over a province? Like levis will be raised in Sweden, they should be ready quickly in Stockholm but might take longer to get the ones in eastern Finland.

Also, how does reinforcement work, will that be covered soon? If a french army is marching through german lands, will it be instant but at a reduced rate, or will the reinforcements need to get to the main army?
Levies take time to spawn.. if its all in one region, its even slower than local.

the french army will not reinforce in german lands.

Is there any negative to having a large standing army/lots of manpower buildings, in terms of produced goods in the location?

people are not an endless resource

Does it only mean for regiments that have taken manpower attrition or it's like when some units have grown old or their military service is over, so they need to get replaced?

no, every month some manpower is rotated out.

Will it be possible to mobilise only part of a levy, so that the impact on your country is less shen you don't need so many troops?

yes, you can do it per province

Is there Army Professionalism concept or that's changed to something different or not added at all?

That was a system that its kinda too similar to army tradition and unit experience etc.

When a war ended and levies been disbanded, would levy soldiers be sent back to where they come from? Or, they would be randomly allocated to somewhere in the nation?

they go back exactly where they came from.

(ie, those that still live)

If I wanted to do a game as Hesse where I become the mercenary capital of Europe and constantly renting out my highly trained army to the highest bidder, are there systems in place to allow me to do this?

yes
