I have a question about religion. In 1596 in the city of Brasta the union between Orthodox and Catholic churches was declared, so came the unites church. Also, during the Middle and New ages the idea of unity between churches was very somewhat popular. Nowadays there is still some people who practice that form of rites, especially in Western Ukraine. So, will this feature be implimented or shown in one way or another?

Unrelated, however. I have noticed near the the Baltic sea, Romuva, is still in Prussia and Curonia. So, Oldprussians are still represented as seperate, baltic-tongue speaking group?

P.S. I can provide sources
More information about this in a Tinto Maps soon.

It seems slightly strange to me to have very small and specific faiths such as Sámi shamanism and then have a blanket "animist" faith that cover most of the southern hemisphere. I of course know that everything we see is WIP so maybe it's a placeholder before a more granular depicition is implemented?

That being said, I really like that religions have different relationships with eachother!
Yes, exactly this.

Looking at today's map about religions and since we have our map god Pavia responding, will we have the religion of the Incas (Inti) in this game? Or will they simply be animist?
Yes, it's unique.

How accurate it is to represent china's religion as Buddhist ?
We think so, more details about this representation when we fully disclose the Buddhism mechanics in the future.

What about places where religion was still not really organized? In japan Confucianism, Budhism and Shintoism coexisted and both religions relied in each other in many things. Also it was a disorganized thing, not a estate as would be in Europe. Which religion would be the primary? And the Neo-Confucianism started to rise a bit later too but where applied to some social behaviors.
The Japanese main religion is Shintoism, but it includes some Buddhist features.

What about Chinese religion such as Daoism and arguably Confucianism? In EU4, Confucianism was a broad term for all religions in China and I feel like the Pop system could greatly showcase the rich religious landscape of China.
There will be mechanics for Confucianism and Daoism.

Will players be able to directly direct the path of a religion?? For example, if I control the papacy, can I decide to change certain aspects in a manner that changes the possible modifiers or laws of said religion, kinda how CK3 works?

Also, will religions add specific flavor and attributes to characters like your leader or others??
Some religions will be more dynamic, and some will be more static.

i would have thought the HRE is THE example of an IO that votes for a character and not a country. ^^ Will the vote still be trigered by character death?
Yes, it's triggered when the Emperor dies.

I think Armenia is represented by a separate patriarchy? Did Ethiopia and Armenia consider each other heretics?
Both Ethiopia and Armenia share the Miaphysite religion, and there's an Autocephalous Patriarchate in Ani.

How does point 3 work for Jews and Christians then? Jews were way more well treated in some countries (Netherlands, Poland and Bohemia) then other Christian countries
That depends on how you deal with the minorities of your country.

Is the blue in Tibet the Vajrayana branch of Buddhism?
No, those are Bön pops. But there will be Vajrayana features.

About religions:
I think having karaim alongside rabbinical Judaism would be good. The decline of karaism was most likely a long process and its golden age wasn't too long ago at start.
I also think the Armenian Apostolic Church should be its own thing from Alexandria since it has been isolated for long and is almost an ethnoreligion at this point. It would allow more Armenian flavor.

About the map:
Why is Catholicism colored in Mamluk vomit?
And IMO the Golden Horde converted not long enough ago so their population shouldn't be full Sunni.
You may have noticed that North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia don't have stripes. That's because we haven't added the minorities there yet, which will be an extremely fun task for one of our content designers for this summer.

From elsewhere:
"A single unit of people in a single location can be any size from one to a billion as long as they share the same three attributes, culture, religion, and social class. This unit of people we tend to refer to as a pop."
?
10 people in a pop

Begging, pleading, crying that Shintoism isn’t just worship the emperor 18th century Meiji larp and actually has more influence from Buddhism and Confucianism.

If we’re real? Shintoism shouldn’t even be called that in the 1300s, we’re just past the Kamakura age of Buddhism where dozens of schools and traditions emerged. If you really want to do Shinto emperor stuff do it with the Kokukagu movement in the 1600-1700s, not in 1337 or whatever the start date is.
Shinto will have many Buddhist elements in it, besides many other exclusively Japanese mechanics.
