@Johan can you add two sided peace treaties? Where the defender(if it managed to conquer by itself) will get compensation or gain something, like money for land, or land for land?

Its one of those "this sounds like a damn good idea", which ends up with a lot of development time required, and ends up with a worse experience for the user, as the balance is almost impossible.

It may have been talked about last week but if you *must* take the wargoal in a CB war, doesn't that really mean no-CB really is the best CB? No limitations on what you can take. There will really need to be strong disincentives to avoid the same total war from EU4.

Without a wargoal its much harder to enforce a peace though.

It's almost everything like in EU4, so I have some questions:
1) peace deals are one-way like in EU4 or can both sides earn something like in Vic3?
2) about last week screenshot of 1st crusade for Lithuania, why the leader is Poland? Is there a system like in early EU4 when an ally morepowerfull then you became the new leader?
3) 73 is pretty high AE: which is the minum for coalitios to trigger? (i know numbers are wip, but just to have a proportion)

1 - no, to allow for free selection its one-way only.
2 - higher rank becomes leader.
3 - 50 atm iirc

Can we get some more information on how things impact AE?

Russia defeating some Turkic polity should be very upsetting among the Central Asian khaganates, but perhaps only mildly concerning among their European neighbors.

AE and the opinion impact from it is seperate.

Can we have a list of all the different types peace treaties that are in the game so far?

Some are code generated, like gold, sacrificing nobles, taking locations, making subjects and releasing countries.

Many are 100% from script like these..

Please add the option to satisfy allies directly in a peace deal with money!

Then it would also be more interesting for players to join the wars of AI allies. I don't want provinces, I want MONEY from you for my war effort!

Instead of favors and land? Like a monetary promise?

is there anything that could block/disquialify a fortification from being dismantiled, not sure if wonders are going to be in the game but im certain modders would be interested in having (potentially alt-)historically significant fortifications in locations be invulnerable/incredibly high cost to having its fortification dismantled
yes, you can edit that script however you like.

How will truces work? Could a longer truce be something we might be able to negotiate for in a peace deal?

it currently depends on the warscore used.

Will the whole 'alliance' system in eu5 be less...static let's say? Of course in real life you had some strong, decades lasting alliances, but mostly these were more or less formal treaties of 2 or more countries in order to attack some specific target, or respectively, defensive treaties against some one common enemy. Not these everlasting alliances like in eu4, with this ridicoulus 'favor' points you were spending in order to have someone on your side

that is one of the goals of the game, to have alliances less static.

So... is it even technically possible in this system to have the Ottoman conquest of Egypt and the Levant in a single war, or is that just gonna have to come through a magical post-war effect or bespoke war goal that lets them accomplish that?

If you want to do it that way, then you'd use a peace treaty..

However, currently at the start of the game, Egypt has low control, and entire Levant & Syria is less than 50 WS. The challenge here is not "how do I get lots of territory", but "how do I handle lots of territory"

How long will the truce last? Will it be a standard or depends on the type of war or the length of war that happened?

depends on the size of the peacedeal.

Does this apply to vassals and other subjects too? Does it depend on the subject type? If it depends, which vassals can be forced into an offensive war and which ones have to be convinced like allies?

subjects have no say if they are loyal enough.

Can I not take only locations from a neighbour in some small border conflict without taking the province capital?

yeah, not forced to take it all.

Are truce lengths dynamic in any way, shape, or form? Do they change duration based on what you take? CB used? War goal? Is the duration something specified in the peace offer?

Or is it just 5 years for everything?

it depends on the cost of the peace.
