we are on the same wavelength

Hmm, I have to disagree with you sweatdog. For one, it appears the developers have stated it was intentional to not include Skirmish mode and Cooperative mode gameplay - a huge selling point for many of us. It is almost an indication they didn't understand the customer base very well.

What I mean is, this was a misguided project from the onset - not a rushed/incomplete article. Some of us hope the features we want can yet be added, and that would be cool but difficult because the engine was never designed for it.

I do enjoy campaigns - for about the 10 hours it takes me to complete them. That isn't worth my 40$. I require a sandbox mode OR a coop mode to play with friends. Much like in M1, PvP is an all night slogging stalemate at best ;/

"which is why the thought of M2 never fulfilling its potential is crushing."

Many fans of Majesty 1 would have been rejoicing with a simple facelift (new graphics). I never expected "new stuff" (and we really didn't get any), but had hoped they would keep the modes of play that I found most enjoyable about the original.

For example if you take Master of Magic, another old game many of my friends and I still find enjoyable. Take the core game, upgrade the graphics and make it run on something other than DOSBOX. You'll find a significant portion of people would rejoice. But if you go and remove the random map generation (or some other core component) than just don't bother. Why? Well, because it takes away our hope :p

I guess we'll see what happens.

What is it you disagree on? I feel the same way as you really. A lot of people fly off the handle and say "hey devs why didnt you include this, that, and the other thing - you F'ed up". I'm just trying to keep an open minded attitude about the games shortcomings. Skirmish mode wasn't my favorite but yes I certainly enjoyed it. I am not demanding it though. But I would expect Majesty2 MP to be top notch if the other game modes will be lacking... And fix the absurd bugs that should have been caught pre-release... To clarify my point about being crushed with a M2 that isnt up to fans expectations - its easy to overlook the game's hardware and software limitations and just fantasize about a game that HAS IT ALL. Part of me wants to question the amount of effort and pride in creation that the M2 devs held. But its not fair of me to do so with such small understanding of the developing/marketing process.

Option to destroy buildings - won't be available because of crawling tactics (exploring with buildings)

Really? We can't get rid of misplaced buildings because we might see that wolf den in the shroud?

Why does a multi player feature have to impact the single player game,to many games these days ruin single player in order to try and improve multiplayer im sick of it.Single player should be made with single player in mind and NOTHING else.

Yeah, it absolutely ruins the whole gameplay.
Now someone should post the regular "I really want to buy the game but I won't because I won't be able to destroy buildings, Paradox U failed, ololol" post and then I hope we can pass this offtopic at last...

Edit: by the way exploring with buildings is why only a multiplayer issue? o_O

Exploring with buildings is without doubt "cheating". But destroying buildings should exist in singleplayer, simply because it's your game and you should be able to do as you wish. And surely there's a simple fix for building exploration. And yes, MP seems to be the focus of all devs these days, even though only a small percentage of players use it.

This one feature maybe doesnt ruin the whole game, but you can tell that the whole balance of the game has been made with multiplayer in mind. Why cant the game have too sets of balance and features, single player and multi.

Ps just because YOU think your right doesnt MAKE you right,l dont care what you think with your im so mr clever comments.

Because in single player it doesn't matter who is cheating, because there is only the player, and unless your a schizophrenic with two personalities, the AI wont mind.If i chose to cheat when playing on my own thats upto me its not affecting anyone else.

How about letting us install the game on more than one computer? Even EA let us install Red Alert 3 on 3 computers.

So that isn't currently possible, even with the boxed version or the Impluse version? Because I don't like the sound of that. I have three computers.

Impulse allows you to install on more than one computer. It will not, however, allow you to run more than one at the same time. I am not sure if this applies in offline mode or not but the activation limit for Impulse is a sort of unofficial one where they are looking to see if one game is installed say ten times in an hour and think it might signify a pirated copy. If you were having legit problems that would cause you to install a game rapidly like that, they would probably give you a pass with a short email.

PLEASE STOP OFFTOPIC here! Go, make topics, it's free and OFF there.
Imageine that at last a developer comes here, see the 3 pages of offtopic QQ by those who don't even own the game. I am sure that he/she will escape instantly...
This topic is for those who play the game and miss something from it.
I made this topic for a reason and I have work in it, please do not ruin my work, I promise I won't ruin yours.

I wish I could transfer this topic into the "game owners only" area of the forum coz every other part of the forum is getting chaotic... o_O

Singleplayer vs. MP, and LAN with more than one copy are both very much on topic subjects the devs need to see. Calm down.

Read the original post and the read the whole topic not just the last 5 posts. 3 pages of chaos with maximum 5 useful posts.
Wll, "don't ruin SP because of MP pls" is not a well detailed problem... :) And the only reason of this panic is that you are not able to destroy buildings (which would allow you to cheat even in SP but "it doesn't matter" as it was said... :) ).
An option to destroy buildings was a suggestion and it won't be implemented, case closed in this topic. Of course you can do for this theme a new topic if you want, a whole forum awaits you, You Majesty... ;)

And the whole "how many computers" topic has nothing to do with developers. It's the publisher's cup of tea.

you see if the developer has no interest in taking care of what he has made it's no matter how much you try he won't do a thing about it or do it just when being forced to. They would also only change things that annoy people the most not even taking into consideration if it is actually needed for a better play.

What I think would be better to do is to make them realize they need to have someone responsible for communicating with people and not only taking notes but also researching into the matter.

and it doesn't even have to be someone from the developers that gets a salary. Just have someone from the gaming community to do this for free. I am certain there are players who would love to see their game improve and would actually do something about it if you ask them for help.

Yes, B key is better than F key for it doesn't center the camera at the Palace. Thx

Clerics seem to have suffered from short term memory loss. They can't remember what they have been doing after casting a Heal !!

Changing the game speed should not change the scroll speed too. (only with mouse around the scren borders, doesn't affect other ways of scrolling)

I know it's been mentioned, but I want to add another voice to this. While the single player seems to be a great re-imagining of Majesty, the multiplayer is what's lacking. I bought it expecting to be able to have fun co-op sessions with my wife and some old friends, only to discover that those options didn't make it from 1 to 2.

My wishlist for MP right now would be:

1. Real co-op
2. User set victory conditions in MP
3. User set conditions for maps (not terrain, but types/frequencies of monsters)
