Or maybe he decided to move out of Russia, because his surname is widely used insult in Russian and he grew tired of all the bullying?
Is it? You learn something new every day. Anyway, his daughters now in charge and running things relatively smoothly-the jihads went after the ERE for Persia (Shia) and Armenia (Sunni). I also renamed my house in his honor.

This guy and his army never left Wales - I guess the Welsh just took him prisoner and delivered him to the Pope at the end of the war out of sheer annoyance over his army trampling their crops.

So, an update on Olafr, conquerer of Jerusalem and general amazing guy:
Olafr tragically dies of 'natural causes' at 48, mainly due to the fact that nothing else could hurt him.
His daughter continued the proud family tradition of being norse, slavic-worshipping overambitious angry pagans by declaring that she would someday be the queen of Jerusalem.

Alas, twas not to be, as she died bringing more angry nordic pagans into the world at 30
Thankfully, her son is keeping up the family tradition of being immortal warrior-gods by beating off half of the Islamic world:

Brunos' got an interesting family. The von Kiels are a German dynasty in Algarve. His grandfather married a Jain refugee from South India and their son - Bruno's father - adopted the local customs and started wearing a turban, while Bruno was away in the east, serving with the Teutonic Knighs. His brother joined the Knights Hospitaller, but had a son who could inherit after the duke's death - and who still follows German customs.

While I'm sieging Tsaritsyn, these "crusaders" hired Muslim mercenaries to fight for them. What has become of Christianity!

We need updates on the Templar revolt

He was victorious, creating the Petty Kingdom of Badajoz. He then spent the next thirty years beating off one Muslim assault after another - which claimed the life of his only son. With no male heir to pass his hard fought kingdom off to that left his only daughter to inherit.

My wife.

It was a heartbreaking, but dutiful separation. Her father's kingdom needed guidance, and as we were both in their 40s, the chances of another child were minute. Once there, she solidified her rule and even took the fight to the Uymaad Empire, making gains in Africa to enhance her power base. Her ultimate goal?

...yeah. So, now that her husband has shuffled off and her only son has assumed the Throne - and formed the Empire of Britannia - I think it's only right when Badajoz comes into the Empire to see my mother's ambition fulfilled. I will then seat a member of the Youkhanns (As many fled to my realm after the Crusade that shattered their power) as rightful ruler and thus have a Shia Caliphate as a Vassal State to a Catholic Empire.

They had a Irish emperor for decades - but then his German heir inherits and the whole thing explodes.

Look who's still alive.

Over 40 years ago some Norwegian adventurer conquered Basra on his quest for glory. His descendents still rule it - from Iceland.

And suddenly half of the empire's independent - no idea how that happened.

And they say Muslim realms were unstable.

So I thought I would go check on the eastern Roman empire and well I got a shock of my life. When I saw this instead of the Eastern Roman Empire

Now How are we suppose to get the city back when a branch of Christianity is in control of it ?. Anyway i thought it was strange that they appeared so early in the game and also that they are not Muslims but a branch of Christianity.. And I have no idea how they got their since the Fatmids control Egypt Etc and they are Shia. Interesting times ahead

^What start date? Clearly the emperor's daughter got married to a Seljuk who is king of somewhere, maybe the Seljuk king converted to local religion. He must have been Miaphysite other wise he could not have married the princess.

Huh, I thought the Byzantine Empire didn't use dynastic titles.

It's tied to culture, as he is Turkish

No, I meant that I thought the e_byzantium title specifically does not allow dynastic naming due to certain culture characters holding it, like the Sultanate of Rum.

Ah okey! Didn't know that.

1066 Start date.. Another weird thing is that his father is still alive and still ruling. It would seem that he married the Emperors Daughter like you said. But I suppose I should look to see what happened to her father and if he died or something. But is it weird that the boys father is still alive and ruling another Kingdom and he the boy is in control of the Byzantine empire while is father never once ruled it ?. Which means something happened with the succession in order to make the boy take the throne

Tvar (with a soft r sound, kinda hard to explain) can be translated as creature directly. As an insult it's used in place of the english "asshole" approximately.
