Make them cheaper, sure, but bring their crew down to, id say 8, seem reasonable. These things should NOT be pushed INTENTIONALLY into direct combat, and they MOST DEFINITELY should not survive multiple bombing runs.

88 is fine. If you keep hitting it with artillery or A2G planes it's practically useless. Sure it might take a bit to go down, but their suppression level is so high their aim will be sh*t.

This is a joke post right? The 88's suppression value against aircraft has already been heavily nerfed, it is a 140 point unit that effectively becomes immobile once deployed and if anyone wants to use its shells against ground targets must move it to the frontlines where it will be easily dispatched by arty.

If anything its AP value is quite low. It's thankful that it can fill more than one role. I still hesitate to use them when there are any decent alternatives.

How many bombing runs survived it that it´s such a big deal for you?

I rely more on armored vehicles now because of skill-less arty and air spam. Seen so many 88´s got artyed and bombed away without being able to do anything that I try to find better working solutions.

Eh. I've wondered if 12 HP was too much on occasion- I definitely don't agree with the haters here than the 88mm is weak- but I've stepped up my on-board howitzer game and now I'm not so sure about that. They're a big pain to kill, but you can render them pretty ineffective by suppressing them and forcing them to re-locate, while still having time to take shots at other stuff between harassing them.

I have found that 88's simply cannot keep up with air heavy decks like the 101st. It just gets to a point where their reload rate cannot suppress planes quickly enough to avoid being bombed.

I rather have regular AA mixed up with vetted or non vetted fighter planes.

they cost so much they should be hard to kill.

Congratulations, you have just discovered the "plane train". This tool is particularly effective in 10v10s, when you don't have to take care of as large a front, and thus can let your team mates carry your weight, as you build up a massive fleet of bombers. Supplement AAA along the entire frontline of the map, disabled "Winchester Evac" to guide your bombers more precisely as they extract, and sprinkle in some fighters here and there. Voilà: No amount of 88mm or even Flakvierlings will do shit against you, which means you have just won anything but the tank war.
