Transylvanians are majority in Sziget, Hadad, and Nagybanya, while Hungarians are the majority in Huszt, Nagyszollos, Szatmar and Zilah. As far as I can tell, that's pretty accurate. The same goes for the transylvanians in northern translyvania my family comes form what is szatmár on this map and even in the 20th century the region was majority hungarian so maybe the translyvanians should extend less westwards.
Oh sorry, it's hard to tell where each province ends in the culture maps. If that's the case then I see know issues in that region, maybe flipping Dés to Hungarian majority and a transylvania minority.Transylvanians are majority in Sziget, Hadad, and Nagybanya, while Hungarians are the majority in Huszt, Nagyszollos, Szatmar and Zilah. Wouldnt say so. It seems most people just gave up after seeing their suggestions not added, while the ones who didnt were simply drowned in 60 pages of Moldova copy paste messages from the last balkan thread. This thread is absolutely glorious
Part of it is also that people seem to think that the devs are obliged to take whatever suggestions come their way and that any suggestion that wasn't added was either ignored or missed. Reality is that the devs did in fact do a lot of historical research of their own and can disagree with some of the suggestions in question based on their own findings.Wouldnt say so. While I dont disagree, when even suggestions such as "everybody is the same colour making it near impossible to tell who is who in wich province" gets also ignored then it puts doubt on this since there is very little historical research you can do to justify having completely seperate cultures neighbouring one another be the same colour.Part of it is also that people seem to think that the devs are obliged to take whatever suggestions come their way and that any suggestion that wasn't added was either ignored or missed. Maybe they just wanted to challenge players to see the suggestions and decide based on their own assessments of what would be acceptable for the game.Well, I hope the developers see the feedback on page 61 for the current Croatian provinces and that they will make changes because the current Croatian provinces are factually incorrect and not historical. Zagorje and the people from Zagorje "Zagorci" had and have a distinct identity, Zagorje is a very small subregion in Croatia, putting the locations they put under the Zagorje province is like calling all of South America the province of Texas. For the Lika province, putting Rijeka in it is wrong, but putting the islands of Krk, Rab, Cres and other smaller islands in the same Lika province is criminal. Where did they find that information? If they feel lazy, let them divide Croatia into the provinces of Slavonia, Croatia proper and Dalmatia and then those three provinces can be divided into northern, central, southern or in the case of Slavonia into western, central and eastern. Because you absolutely cannot justify it by saying that they did their own research because they didn't do enough or they found the wrong information.
I know, but now they've received feedback and like I said, I hope they fix it.Maybe they just wanted to challenge players to see the suggestions and decide based on their own assessments of what would be acceptable for the game.
Or did they not know how to decide because who knows about all the historical minor regions for each country?
balkanlar lolcow that just keeps givingThis thread is absolutely glorious
I would have preferred if they were light blue and Turkish was red...In the Tinto Maps Special Edition we can see that the Greek culture has finally been given a more distinct colour from Bulgarian. There might be some other changes. The borders unfortunately look the same from first glance.
It looks like smaller province cant show their minority provinces from this height otherwise alot of romanians and slovaks would have been removed from existence out of nowhere in Hungary. Its still not possible to tell Albanians and Aromanians apart but we finally gained victory with greeks not bleeding into Bulgarian culture and vice versa.
Yep, that was my assumption as well.It looks like smaller province cant show their minority provinces from this height
Already asked this question in the map thread. Will report if I get a answer-Question is, how recent is the map? Could it be somewhat older, or it's the 2025 january state of the game.
