The quality is atrocious, (edit: I meant the quaility of me cropping out and zooming in the relevant part, not the map itself being atrocious) sorry for that, but yeah, seems like.
They also made some previously hungarian stuff croatian, and didn't touch the serbian ethnic border.
Question is, how recent is the map? Could it be somewhat older, or it's the 2025 january state of the game.
The former is copium so most likely the latter.
Thats a bit harsh. And we don't exactly know they operate. Only 1 guy is working on our region if I remember correctly. It's quite funny how it's being pointless giving suggestions even based on sources.
I wouldn't count on it. @Aldaron has stated multiple times in the past that he's afraid of the latter's thread review because of the humongous amount of material around it.going off of TM ordering, Arabia or Persia perhaps
To be fair we also have a lovely drawn-up version of what it should look like with plenty of sources as to the why, and as far as I can tell not too much of it is all that contentious (barring some of the demographics of Georgia and Azerbaijan).I wouldn't count on it. @Aldaron has stated multiple times in the past that he's afraid of the latter's thread review because of the humongous amount of material around it.
Then again, I am partly a cause of that problem too![]()

Though it's not helping that the broad suggestion there is "redo the entire region".
We Georgians know a thing or two about "redoing regions"
Here is the latest culture version over the feedback version. I played with the layer opacity (0-100%) of the latest version, so you can see the changes. This version presents only the dominant culture in comparison to the feedback. However, we have to consider that there is a bug in the latest version – a very thick stripe that goes from Anatolia to Hungary. In fact if you check the whole map you’re gonna notice that this stripe goes to MecklenburgView attachment 1240334
Looks like there were some culture changes. For the better and for the worse. If anyone can make a more zoomed in and clearer image please do so.

If you can identify them for me, I will remove them. Are the ones you listed all of them or are there any more? You have added a lot of Muslim names to the list which should only appear in a Bosniak (if such a culture could appear later in the game) name list, but not in a Bosnian list.
That's why it *is*Wouldnt say so. It seems most people just gave up after seeing their suggestions not added, while the ones who didnt were simply drowned in 60 pages of Moldova copy paste messages from the last balkan thread.
Alibeg from the male namesIf you can identify them for me, I will remove them. Are the ones you listed all of them or are there any more?
Thank you for responding, I'd like to get some feedback as well.
Begić Begović for sure since they come from Beg, which was an Ottoman noble/hierarchical title.Begić Begović
These are the ones I am sure about but there are at leat the same amount more that I have serious doubts, but I do not know the etymology to confirm.
No, I'm not local, but I am from the Balkans and have some knowledge of which names are of Turco/Arabic/Muslim origin.@vikinglord I'm curious if you're a local? If so, do you know of any source that contains a few more names that were used by the commonors in Bosnia at that time, before the Turkish control?
I updated it, checked the other surnames, those that didn't sound Slavic to me, and I found some of Turkish and Arabic origin.Alibeg from the male names

Rusyns should be brought back, they have been ther for hundreds of years, they are succesors of white croats who were in carphatia, they were featured in ck3 but as just croats, so rusyns by now should be in carpathia, they aren't halychiansHello everybody, and welcome to the map review of one more region: Carpathia and the Balkans! This one has taken a bit to get out, as although it was almost finished a few weeks ago, we needed to double-check and correct some issues.
This area has had a lot of border changes that are not always very accurately documented, which leads to conflicting versions depending on the author. We have tried to collect the maximum amount of sources to make the best decision that we could. If you disagree, do not hesitate to comment on it, but please remain civil. Many of these borders are up to interpretation and we might not agree with which one is the correct one, which is fine, as it's as long as we have an informed and polite debate.
Without further ado, the changelog will speak for itself, while I show some new map screenshots:

The two biggest changes here are the new tags in Moldavia and Albania. There still will be an event early in the game for Moldavia, although now it will be about the unification of the tags that start ruled by the Golden Horde into the March, later Principality, of Moldavia.

Some wastelands in the Carpathians have disappeared, and are now just Mountains; however, they will continue being quite strategic in winter, as the mountain passes may freeze, blocking movement.

There haven't been any changes in this map, but I wanted to show you how our dynamic localization for locations works (please remember that you can set it as you prefer with a game rule!)
And this is all for today! We'll read your feedback and answer your questions, as usual. This Friday we will have a new Tinto Maps, about North America; the next Tinto Maps Feedback will be devoted to Russia, although we don't know yet exactly when. Cheers!
