The quality is atrocious, (edit: I meant the quaility of me cropping out and zooming in the relevant part, not the map itself being atrocious) sorry for that, but yeah, seems like.
They also made some previously hungarian stuff croatian, and didn't touch the serbian ethnic border.
Question is, how recent is the map? Could it be somewhat older, or it's the 2025 january state of the game.
Well many things are pretty messed up, but nothing i could not edit in the files and change. I will have to say goodbye to the achievements tho.
It's quite funny how it's being pointless giving suggestions even based on sources.
HOI4 players had to wait 8 years since release to get a seperate Burgenland (which looks awful), and also a separated Dobruja from Wallachia/Muntenia as a seperate state. And both of these were suggested hundreds of times by players earlier.
So, way the development for this game works (it's been hinted at in a couple of dev posts here and there) is that each region's work is done in its own branch that isn't merged with main for a good while. This is why you can look at the map they posted in that "world" overview and note that while the Maghreb region is likely going to be what we'll see in the feedback in a minute, other regions which are also being worked on which will have their feedback likely a few weeks later from now (going off of TM ordering, Arabia or Persia perhaps) are completely untouched. Doesn't mean there's been no work there and that they're rushing out the adjustments to each region literally a week before the feedback; means that the work there isn't on the main branch yet.
Not every screenshot that you see of the game is going to include every change they've made from the last screenshot. That's not how the development of this game works.
I wouldn't count on it. @Aldaron has stated multiple times in the past that he's afraid of the latter's thread review because of the humongous amount of material around it.
Then again, I am partly a cause of that problem too

To be fair we also have a lovely drawn-up version of what it should look like with plenty of sources as to the why, and as far as I can tell not too much of it is all that contentious (barring some of the demographics of Georgia and Azerbaijan).
Though it's not helping that the broad suggestion there is "redo the entire region".

Here is the latest culture version over the feedback version. I played with the layer opacity (0-100%) of the latest version, so you can see the changes. This version presents only the dominant culture in comparison to the feedback. However, we have to consider that there is a bug in the latest version – a very thick stripe that goes from Anatolia to Hungary. In fact if you check the whole map you’re gonna notice that this stripe goes to Mecklenburg There are such thick stripes over Nogai, Astrakhani, Anatolia etc. I don’t know if it’s reported yet, though. These stripes seems to mess up with the (dev) intended presentation of the cultures. So I’m not convenient if we can decide for sure whether there are changes or not.
As I published a name suggestion for the Kajkavian (Slavonian), Chakavian (Croatian) and Western Shtokavian (Bosnian) dialects of personal names some time ago, I have now added surnames and dynasties. For the Chakavian dialect, I have already marked the occurrence of names for the other two dialects, but I will do so tomorrow. Now I have marked the occurrence of names nad added some new. Green color indicates a very common occurrence, yellow a medium-common occurrence, and uncolored ones are rare or appear late in the period from the 14th century to the 18th century. I ask for comments, suggestions and confirmation that I am working in the right direction.
I'm still pinging the developers to let them know. @Pavía@Aldaron

You have added a lot of Muslim names to the list which should only appear in a Bosniak (if such a culture could appear later in the game) name list, but not in a Bosnian list.

If you can identify them for me, I will remove them. Are the ones you listed all of them or are there any more?
Thank you for responding, I'd like to get some feedback as well.
Wouldnt say so. It seems most people just gave up after seeing their suggestions not added, while the ones who didnt were simply drowned in 60 pages of Moldova copy paste messages from the last balkan thread.

@vikinglord I'm curious if you're a local? If so, do you know of any source that contains a few more names that were used by the commonors in Bosnia at that time, before the Turkish control?

Hello everybody, and welcome to the map review of one more region: Carpathia and the Balkans! This one has taken a bit to get out, as although it was almost finished a few weeks ago, we needed to double-check and correct some issues.
This area has had a lot of border changes that are not always very accurately documented, which leads to conflicting versions depending on the author. We have tried to collect the maximum amount of sources to make the best decision that we could. If you disagree, do not hesitate to comment on it, but please remain civil. Many of these borders are up to interpretation and we might not agree with which one is the correct one, which is fine, as it's as long as we have an informed and polite debate.
Without further ado, the changelog will speak for itself, while I show some new map screenshots:
Countries View attachment 1221238 View attachment 1221239 The two biggest changes here are the new tags in Moldavia and Albania. There still will be an event early in the game for Moldavia, although now it will be about the unification of the tags that start ruled by the Golden Horde into the March, later Principality, of Moldavia.
Dynasties View attachment 1221240 Notice that many places have no known rulers and dynasties are so created dynamically.
Cultures View attachment 1221254 There are also some changes in this distribution. The most important ones are the Rusyn culture being replaced by Halychian, and Moldovan being its own culture in the setup.
Dominant Language View attachment 1221255 The dominant language per location. We have not yet done the dialects, our lower level, which is used for flavor on location and character names, so suggestions are welcome.
Markets View attachment 1221260 There haven't been any changes in this map, but I wanted to show you how our dynamic localization for locations works (please remember that you can set it as you prefer with a game rule!)
And this is all for today! We'll read your feedback and answer your questions, as usual. This Friday we will have a new Tinto Maps, about North America; the next Tinto Maps Feedback will be devoted to Russia, although we don't know yet exactly when. Cheers!
Rusyns should be brought back, they have been ther for hundreds of years, they are succesors of white croats who were in carphatia, they were featured in ck3 but as just croats, so rusyns by now should be in carpathia, they aren't halychians

I agree. They were in two seperate sphears for hundreds of years. Most sources refer to the east slavic population of that area as Rusyns until they were incoporated into the USSR so it would make more sense to seperate them.
