The repair of Storm 001 - is that the first of that class? Damaged in the initial attack on Harmony I take it?
That crew grade hit is pretty big. Must have been hit hard.
Storm 001 was gutted, yes.

Immediately after the missiles hit, nothing was still functioning but one corner of the life-support. They managed to get several things repaired, including the engine and one fuel tank. And presumably the Nav-computer, since they made it all the way back to Earth on their own power.

The ship was launched in February of 1980.

Our orbital maintenance workshops in the anchorage at planet Harmony now reach 600,000 tons capacity.

To put that into scale, the Gunships (composed of twelve Emotions and four Phalanxes) total 370,000 tons.

The maintenance facilities are currently overhauling several Intel vessels and half of the Gunship force (six Emotions, two Phalanxes).

The New Fortress of Doom is also increasing its maintenance capacity, to allow more Beam Weapon / Missile / Fighter Base modules.

In total (Gunships, PD force, Carriers, Fighters, Fortress, Intel vessels, etc) we have about 2,000,000 tons of military ships in Harmony.
With 24000 tonnes of tracking stations under overhaul, how will that effect our tracking efforts?

Tracking stations are not overhauled.

There isn't any entry for how much tonnage is being overhauled.

Just for how much tonnage is being supported (ie: "in the same LOCATION, with its maintenance clock stopped"). Overhaul is just part of that figure.

Oh hi.
I presume that system has it's TRP flotilla on standby?
Yes. Everybody has a TRP Flotilla.

Unless I've done something silly.

Ah.
Why is the tra.cking Station then listed separately?

Ah.

That's just a partial screen-shot of a page that has dozens of different data on it.

The Jerx approach.

.. such as?
An example? "Borrowed" somebody's guards to deal with a crisis, and never returned them.

I'll be 70 next year. About half-senile.

At 84 million km we get a hard lock on the enemy.

One ship, with a RADAR signature of 716 tons.

Having fought the Jerx before, we already know that this is really a 7155 ton Jerx Pirate ship, at 90% cloaking.

We are intercepting with a strong force.

Four somewhat obsolescent Sabre V Gunship FACs, five Cutlass box-launcher FACs, plus a fleet train composed of one AWACS FAC and one RepairTender FAC.

Cutlasses carry fourteen missiles each, but no reloads.

I'm sending a group of modern Sabre Xs from Earth, to help them out.

Moves at 16,800 kps.

They'll be within Gun range in less than 18 hours.

Both Bandit-1 (one Jerkmobile) and Bandit-2 (four Jerkmobiles, two Achernar) are retreating... trying to evade the approaching TRP squadron.

sc-3211.jpg

Does this indicate that they are awaiting further reinforcements?

The way the Ether Raiders (in our game, the Jerx) warp drive works, each passage of a fleet temporarily de-stabilizes the jump connection for a period... for a long time if a large fleet passes through, or for a short time for the passage of a small fleet.

So the Jerx can accumulate more forces if they delay the battle.

We continue the pursuit. Now 16 million km.

We might as well chase down and kill the advance scout (Bandit-1) while waiting for reinforcements to arrive from Earth to assist us with Bandit-2.

Didn't realise we'd changed ruler.
Is it your second iteration, or are we on Emu III already?

I'm pre-emptively sending a second group of reinforcements from Earth... just on the speculation that the Jerx will be sending further ships, too.

Ten million km.

Six million.

LOL.

No I meant me personally. In real life. I was born in 1956.

... and this is MY first iteration. As far as I know.
