Japan's flag needs to be fixed.

Eeerm can you tell me what's wrong with the Japanese flag? because according to this page the Japanese flag is the same that in vanilla (the one with big red circle over a white background)

If you were meaning to the other one (the naval flag) it is not an state flag and it should not be the flag of the game.

If you need more info:

Hey thanks, the recovered work will be credited.

I'm sure someone asked this one before me ... but i'm soooo lazy :D

Does this Alpha-Release also work with Doomsday? I love Cold-War-Scenarios, but i only have Doomsday (no Armagedon) installed :(

Well, it shows up as the rayed flag in my game. Perhaps it's a problem on my end.

Well it's not exactly playable yet but yes it appears to be working with Armageddon.

Ok i have released a second update which includes more events and that makes the first year somewhat playable..

Try it clicking in the link below:
http://rapidshare.com/files/61402036/1955_2nd_update.rar.html

You must have the first update installed.

Install it simply unzipping to your Cold War folder.

Due to Real Life things i will be very busy until Friday and therefore my posting/modding capability will be greatly reduced.

So don't start to panic if you don't see me ok?.

Ok i have uploaded the thirs update for the mod, you must have the previous updates installed before installing this one.

Download:

http://rapidshare.com/files/65113279/3rd_update.rar.html

it contains many more events for the year 1955 making it playable, and some more for the 1956 (although it has not enough events.)

Well i need your help people, i need som kind of advices on how to make the event chain for the Hungarian revolt.

I was thinking that an alternate outcome could be the partition of the country.

What do you think?

Partitionment? Hmm... an occupied zone? And a DMZ between the two?

DMZ? What's DMZ? Demilitarized zone maybe ? ;)

Remember that it is only an alternate outcome, it should not be a priority

I was considering an idea for an alternate outcome, I doubt it would be another Spanish Civil War, the Soviet Union wouldn't find a strong enough puppet.

BTW i think that there are only three possible outcomes to the Hungarian Revolution:

Outcome A) Soviet Victory -- Revolution Crushed (The historical one)
Outcome B) Some kind of drawn -- The U.N. gets involved more actively with this and forces USSR to negotiate, then they agree with the western powers to divide the country in two , the west Democratic, the East Communist with Budapest partitioned too (obviously the partition of Budapest could only be represented in the game via event text)
Outcome C) Hungarian Victory -- Using either force or diplomacy (via U.N. or USA, it does not matter) Hungary gets his objectives, complete sovereignty, a transition government, democratic elections, and, if the U.N. signed some kind of neutrality act (like Austria) they would remain complete neutral, if not, they may join NATO giving USA a very advanced base into eastern europe.

Perhaps with the last outcome the revolution could spread to other eastern europe countries like Poland or Romania and then the hard line gives a coup to remove Kruschev from power.

What do you think?

I'm not talking about an Hungarian Civil War, i'm talking about a negotiated partition of the country like in Germany, Korea or Vietnam (Or the alternate outcome for the Austria's fate)

Your idea is good, and that C) option (Hungarian Victory) seems interesting, as you could make an alternate history scenario of it:

Hungary becomes completely independent and neutral at first, then after a couple of years a new government is elected which has a plan of bringing Hungary into NATO. Soviets react negatively, send troops to the Hungarian border, however then NATO decides to protect Hungary and pledges its support in case of a new Soviet invasion.

A new major crisis erupts, similar to the Cuban Missile Crisis, with different outcomes (one of which would be WW3 of course :) ), because I doubt that the USSR would stand by and allow a NATO base so deep in its sphere of influence.
