Darkrenown...Thank you for replying. Your answer encourages me and I hope/pray the folk that have been taken on will make a difference! Sadly, my Elven Legacy (Complete) DVD is about to become a coaster but I'm on the lookout for a "real" Paradox Interactive game to try now. Thanks...

I did not run a proper QA test of it, and external titles will not be tested by me anyway, but I really like Elven Legacy game mechanics... So my question for you is what you didn't like about it? I would like to know what kind of bugs you discovered.

Has any thought been made as to sell the old Clausewitz games on gog.com? A bundle of HoI1/2/DD/Arma for 5.99, and V1+CK1+EU1+2 for 9,99 sounds very reasonable and the "no DRM" policy of gog.com wouldn't hurt you.

I have no idea, but I will be pedantic and point out those were all "Europa" engine game :)

This should be funny...Anyone remember an article in the PC Zone magazine (just before it died) which featured the visit of a Zoner member of staff to the Paradox Interactive offices in Sweden? I might have the location wrong, so please forgive me if I do. Anyway, besides reporting on the games being worked on at the time, the focus was on Plopp chocolate bars that can be bought there! That's the funny bit (only works for British humour, I think!) So... What is this (not so) well known chocolate like?

You got the location and the chocolate right!

It's delicious. It's almost exactly like "Center" (another swedish chocolate) but a bit sweeter ;)

Have some of the employees on Paradox Interactive "started" their holiday? :)

Yes (not me).

How is the platypus?

Hiding out in the server room. It is HOT in there.

This is just a hopeful question..

Are there any plans for a Clausewitz game that takes place either in Alexander's time or in the future? (like, 2200 future.)

No current plans, sorry! That does not mean that there won't be any, ever, but right now we are busy making other games.

I should have understood to ask this earlier but better late than not at all (Though I have a feeling that Enewald could have asked this)

Is here any hardcore hockey fans and how does it feel like to lose ice hockey world championship to your eastern neighbour? :D Was it as big shock as it seemed to be (according to press) or just a minor disappointment?

Was there a major hockey event recently?

I wasn't really asking because I wanted to know, you know. More to mark my complete disinterest.
Sports, I don't get it. To do some kind of sports myself might be fun, but to watch: BORING.

I didn't even watch the SCII competition is Sweden recently, but at least I know it exists.

How long did it take for Fredrik's hair to grow back? Did an baldness show up under once it was shaved?

Finally a question worthy of this thread!
Maybe he should answer.

No, we are just mildly creeped out by podcat...

Also, if you were given the chance, would you create a Game of Thrones Grand Strategy game?

yes!!!

After spending so much time making and perfecting (at least until the players find all the bugs :D) all the games PI has created over the years, do you guys go and actually play them once released, or do you just get a copy, put it on a shelf, and just look at it from time to time for inspiration for future games?

I use to play games that I have been working on after release... It use to be years after release. It's like rereading a favorite book.

When Paradox releases an expansion or new game do people in the office work different hours to provide tech support in the forum? I mean Sweden is like 9 hours ahead of me time wise.

Yes. I left work a bit earlier and then checked the forum for a couple of hours after midnight. I find it is better to do that than to not log in for 15 hours.

Do the devs read a lot/some AARs? There's been a few dev comments in Glory for Ulm but that might just be because it's linked everywhere.

It's on my todo list... Once I am involved in less then one release/ month. I will also be checking player reported bugs more frequently and answer a lot more to all users in different threads. Right now I have simply too much other things to do.

Can (will) PI change CD key registration so that we can simply copy/paste our CD keys there, instead of having to split it to 5 parts or to type it? Its currently pretty annoying.

Thanks

Yes. I have a plan for how to remake it, I just want to polish it a bit before I send it off to the web developers, make sure I don't miss anything.
The system will also be a lot larger than you will see, we are missing a lot of admin features for it as well right now, so it is really not great for anyone. It was fine when we were a much smaller company, with only our own kind of codes.

Do you guys ever visit the forum in your leizure time? I mean off the clock for pure enjoyment.
Yes.
