Pigs in combat was a big thing in Rome Total War 1. They might also have been in Rome 2, but I doubt that. Sacrificial pigs were in EU: Rome, I think. Hm. So this feels like an obvious reference to Rome, although it can have other meanings too. I guess the obvious conclusion is that a game about Rome is a no-go.

There will be no stabbing of pigs.

I hope to see you all in Cologne!

The word pigs are often used in popular culture for repulsion, source wiki.
The site also mentions ancient Greece and Odyssey.

It might refer to ancient times like Rome and Greece.

It's a reference to "Romance of the Three Kingdoms":

Ancient China here we come!

Yes, unless it's a troll attempt. Hard to tell. I hope it's not Rome/ancient history but rather something new and different but still a GSG.

If you note carefully he said no "stabbing" of pigs.

Well pigs were indeed sacrificed in Ancient Rome, but they weren't stabbed. The ritual envolved cutting their throats and then an augur would slice their belly open to read their entrails. There was no stabbing as it would damage the organs and ruin the divination.

I knew it! Ancient world here we come!

Consider this... If it was a Bronze Age simulator, from the 7th century BCE to the 3rd century BCE, you could play as Rome and Alexander and Qin Shi Huang all in one game. Almost everyone would win... Except the cold war gs people
That's the iron age though. The Bronze Age was 3000 BCE untill 1200-600 BCE (took time for innovation to spread).
