I feel like it is not China, all major ip's are large in scale, EU,Vic, HOI all encompass the entire world, and CK2 contains most of the "interesting" places in world at the time.

It can't be Rome 2 because of obvious trademark issues... so the new IP might be Imperium Rōmānum.
Whatever it is, I hope it has romance options in it. I played the Mass Effect trilogy and really liked the romances. Especially the sex scenes.
If it doesn't have romance options I prolly won't buy it

If it points to Rome, than 7 and 3 would more likely be either from 7th century BCE to 3rd century CE, which would be a bit random, but the second option is more likely. From 7 kings of Rome to the first Triumvirate, thus meaning classical Roman Republic.
Still I don't see it as realistic option, since oht of three hints one is against, one can be explained in many other ways and one is inconclusive.

Eh... 2 years? Look at HoI4... It was announced January 2014. So it was at least in development since 2013. And it reaches Alpha in the middle of this year. So... Runemaster started devlopment in 2013 and reached Alpha in the middle of this year too. Who is the difference?

Well, we have roman numbers and a little something that looks like Chinese. So I'd say it points towards China during the Roman era
It would not. WtWSMS is an overhaul mod for CK2, and unrelated to separate game projects. Also, I think the other people in the team share the idea that it would be better to have a game made by the professional paradox. And then, nothing prevents me from modding that game onwards in case I disagree on some things...wouldn't that kill when the world stop making sense though though?

And it was a time were Paradox announced games very early. But they changed this after HoI4 and Runemaster. They only announce games in Alpha now.
