Maybe

You just found the explanation for 7! ;)
Do you have a good one for 3?

You mean besides the Triumvirate and all the others that people have come up with?

I suppose in keeping with the theme they released EU:Rome, the expansion so this would be their third Rome product?

Honestly if this is how paradox thinks Phoenicians looked like then I think we're almost better off with them not making a Rome game (even though I'm absolutely craving for that one).

But that's an acadamical discussion, everything points to a space game which results in me being very disapointed and slightly interested.

There's no way it's Rome. Pig stabbings are an essential mechanic of EU:Rome. Also, they've said it's a game they've been wanting for a very long time, which definitely means its not an old IP made into a new one.

It just means there is no pig stabbing, beacause no stab at all or changed mechanic.

And I am sure they would love to make a real Rome or Antiquity game, not just a EU spin-off.

That being said, it currently looks like a space game.

Remember the bad-boy hint for EU IV? We'll see, we'll see.

Did they mention specifically a Grand Strategy IP? Could be another simulator like Cities: Skylines. Even Victoria II borderlines simulation.

I wonder... when did official development of this title begin?

We first heard of this Project in December 2013 (another reason why this can't be Cold War, it was in development the same time as East vs West). So it should be under development since 2012/13.

They confirmed they only work on Grand Strategy currently. And Cities: Skylines was just published by PI not developed by Paradox.

Bearing in mind it's a PDS title not a PI title and that it's a 'major IP' it is almost certainly (90%) a Grand Strategy, the only title to my knowledge that PDS has worked on is Runemaster, not counting the standard PDS might help out an affiliate here or there thing, and Runemaster was not a 'major IP'. The fact it has had 3 years in development (I think that's what it was at last count) i'm thinking is the 3 in the 3 and 7. Clausewitz 3.0, and the 7 something to do with the game itself/mechanic.

Waiting for new hint.... F5F5F5F5F5

PDS said they are only working on GSG at the moment.
