I see several posts from folks talking about ours being the first Season Pass they've ever purchased and I just wanted to say thank you for putting your trust in us. I'm excited about our plans for Urban Warfare and Expansion 3 and I look forward to sharing them with you at the right time.

Cheers!

nah...thank you all for being a dev team that players can rely on and trust.
too many these days dont and it has caused many players to become jaded and overly cautious.

Possible MAJOR problem: I just bought Battletech Season Pass and reviewed the receipts that can with it. It gives me a steam key. After reviewing the receipts that came with the season pass. I realized that my newly bought season pass will most likely not work with my GOG Battletech downloaded game is! I checked and found out there is a GOG Battletech Season pass on sale.

1. Paradox/HBS please update the Flashpoint/Season Pass ad to remind those who bought GOG version of Battletech to go to GOG website to buy their Season pass. I am fairly sure Steam downloads will not work with GOG games.

2. I do not know if a refund is possible, if not can store credit be issued instead?

you got two weeks to refund steam purchase.

and for future reference....regardless of who makes em....if ya buy a game from devA you should always buy any future dlc/expacs from devA as stuff bought from devB or C or whatever probably wont work.

this is the result of having different launchers and such.
i fist realized this first when ubisoft/orgins/bethesda put out their own little versions of steam.

Have you tried activating the game on Steam? May or may not help but worth a shot.

It is obvious that your team has a great passion for the game and are still looking at ways to make it better. So far the DLC/expansions add really neat mechanics and 'Mechs instead of horrible cash grabs. That was what made me buy my first season pass evah!

Keep up the good work and I'll continue to shovel money your way. :D

I know the devs said they made one flashpoint for each faction, but there were more than just those 5 weren't there? There are a bunch of random ones too, right? If so, do we know about how many there are?

We don’t know how many distinct FLASHPOINTS there will be. Some are such that they can be encountered multiple times, I could be mistaken but I believe a Pirate Hunting FLASHPOINT was mentioned as one such possibly recurring FLASHPOINT. We also know that Kiva fashioned five FLASHPOINTS. I hope all five survive the expansions “cutting room floor” prior to release! : )

There are more than just one per faction. As I recall, those five were described as extra difficult, rewards for allying with a faction. There are others which do not require you to be allied.

We don't have an amount, but I would expect that the 30+ hours of new content included in Flashpoints is largely from the Flashpoint missions. I would use that as an estimate for how many Flashpoints will be included.

So, back-of-the-envelope math time then?

At 30 minutes per mission, and an average of three missions per flashpoint, that makes for 20 flashpoints.
45 minutes per mission and an average of two per flashpoint also equals 20 flashpoints.

I'm good with that :)

Yeah, I'd forgotten about the 30+ hours of content thing. Since there doesn't seem to be any other source of content (no extra missions for the Arano Restoration, for example), then it seems logical to assume tens of flashpoints instead of just 5. Good. Now I just have to survive for 19 more days. : (

Yeah... Now I just have to survive for 19 more days. : (
19-days?

27NOV?

No problem at all!

That’s just 456-hours with FLASHPOINTLESS battletech...

27,360-minutes with FLASHPOINTLESS battletech...

1,641,600-seconds with FLASHPOINTLESS battletech...

Ah geez! Why’d I do that? It seems like such a looooooong Time now. : (

Don't worry, you'll be asleep for about half a million of those seconds, and at work for another half a million - leaving only half a million seconds of waiting!

How about that, eh? From 1.5 million down to 0.5 million faster than the speed of logic!

While it's not my first Season Pass, I have not purchased many of these since they became a thing instead of the older development method of full fledged expansion packs. I do have to say I appreciate that Paradox and HBS are committing to supporting Battletech long term. That is awesome. You guys have come a long way already since release, especially along the lines of polish. The game did not run amazing for me at launch, lots of memory leaks, stuttering etc. Now however just a few patches in, it is practically buttery smooth all the time. Thank you HBS crew for all the support and communication with the fanbase. You guys deserve to be commended for that.

Less than 2 weeks to go now. I'm excited.
As an aside, I've played the game so much now (over 1100 hours) that I know every map by heart. In the long run, the only way to fix that recurring problem is to have a random map generator. I know Mitch said he hates that idea, but it would make the game much more replayable.
