Well the government after a coup would probably be PA since Rappe and Adlercreuz are listed as PA in the swedish ministers file. Ericson is not listed in the file so if you could come up with a little more detail about him I could add him to the list. If possible a picture as well.
ops! My misstake - at that time, Stig H:son Ericson was only something like Naval liaison for the chief of staff. He later became chief of the Marine (1955). I'm not sure what his rank at that time was, but at best I would guess "Kommendör av första graden" which would just barly make it into rear adm. he probably was just Captain at that time. No pictures found, but I'll keep looking. During the war, Fabian Tamm was the head of the marine, and I know that he at times have been accused of being to pro-germany, cf. in -36 he privatly vistied Hitler to celebrate his birthday... Yep, and I agree with gov=PA

Any idea who they had in mind for the other cabinet positions?

You can send whatever info you find to my email listed in the CORE email thread.
Ok, I'll do that instead, as some of my ideas probably are bordering on slander ;)

But I have a few Ideas. Foreign minister R. Sandler was removed from his office in -39, as he strongly opposed Hanssons actions during the Winter war, so I guess he could be a candidate for primeminister if the generals would feel they had to have some legitimity after the coup.

*eh* I don't know, but I don't think Sandler is removed if the option of only sending supplies is triggered? - he should be...

I will try and script something but only leave a very small chance of it happpening.
Sounds fine by me - I personally feel that the possibility of it actually taking place were really remote.

Ok, commeting on myself...

Ok, lets ramble...

2/21/1940 chief of staff Rappe, proposed a plan for sending some 15+ regiments to Finland, to outflank the russians. Prime minsiter Hansson asked Rappe what would happen then, to which he replied -"Well the the war would be over". Hansson apparently said this was "damn bullshit" (ie. "Jävla skitprat").
Actually, it seems like this happened twice during the winter war. Rappe et. al. formaulated a plan as early as December -39, to send Swedish troops to northern Finland, that plan was presented to the governement by the commander in chief Thörnell. And as he (loads of slander here ;) ) was unable to have any oppinons by himself, it came to nothing.

The minister of defence Per-Edvin Sköld, apperently during the war commented on the abilities and qualities of the commander in chief Thörnell.
"His best ability is that he (Thörnell) always clics his boots together and does what he is told".

Why not an army technology for Finland?

Some possible bonuses could be:

+ 5(%) Organization to Infantry, Cavalry and Mountain
+ 5(%) Organization to Fighters
+ 10% Chance to Surprise Enemy
- .15 Supply to Infantry, Cavalry and Mountain
Maybe some bonuses to Infantry/Mountain/Cavalry in moving through Blizzards, etc

The Organizational bonuses represent the toughness and resiliency of the Finnish Army, which historically was made up mostly of those 4 type of troops, infantry, mountain, cavalry and fighters. Surprise bonus because the main reason the Soviets had such a hard time was because they were often ambushed in the dark forests of Finnland and cut to pieces. Supply bonuses because Finnland is a harsh land and the Finns were able to deploy fairly large fighting formations on it. And the Freezing/Blizzard/Snow bonuses simply because out of all nations, Finnland was probaly the most competant and experienced with fighting in Winter conditions, even more so than the Russians IMO.

I dunno, just a thought.

I was also thinking of perhaps a Chinese military bonus, giving them lower IC/production time figures, but lowering their effectiveness. Most negatives going to Hard Attack, cause the Chinese Army even towards the end of the war lacked heavily in heavy artillery, etc.

IIRC Finland already get's the Winter fighting techs and also has a ton of winter fighter leaders which IMHO quite effectively simulates their historical advantage. About China we dropped their organisation values via the INC files instead of adding a tech. Perhaps we should review that for the next version though...

Yeah I know, but the Finns where the only one of Germany's allies to actually be able to pull it together and fight completely independently and competantly, I feel like they should get some sort of of bonus just for that. The nation that came closest to that was Hungary, and well they didn't perform too smashing.

Danish AA/AT motorcycles

I finally managed to pull some pics of the Danish Nimbus Motorcycles with 20mm Autocannon mounted on the sidewagon.

Appearently it was used both in AA and AT roles and managed to destroy and damage a couple of German tanks during the invasion.

Four of these were attatched to each regiment.

Is there a Rjukan heavywater plant event for Norway and England ?
Possible for Germany to lose the heavywater tech if they got it ?

There are plans to include a heavywater event when we finish the new tech tree. I don't remember if there is one in there at the moment. MDow

I just saw a documentary about it. The movie with Kirk Douglas is does not picture the situation correctly, accoring to veterans who fought there.
This could mean an event for both England, Germany, and Norway. (both bombing raids and airdrop of british commandos and norwegian partisans, plus german manpower and tech loss) The british commandos came in sliders some time later than the norwegians... unfortunately they got lost in bad weather and crashed somwhere in the mountains. So the partisans had a hard job carrying out the mission.

This partisan raid near the village Rjukan set back both shipments and production of heavywater, crucial to the German nuclear programme. The plant was lightly guarded before the attack, but after the attack it was rebuilt... (don't remember how long it took, though) but the fact is the germans also lost a considerable shipment so the nuclear programme in Germany was set back. As a result, Hitler sent an additional 10.000 men to guard the plant afterwards, and to search for the partisans which they did not find. Allied bombing raids did not work well, as the plant was located in a steep valley.
