For all I know, the protagonist has been asleep for 100 years and do not know what a modern gun is, let alone how to use one.

A firearm is a complex piece of machinery that require training and skill to use properly and maintain. Telekinesis is fine for "pick up object" tasks, it is not fine for operating complex firearms that require precise aiming, hair-trigger feel, recoil damping etc.

The idea that a 400 (?) year old vampire with serious jetlag will happily use telekinesis to operate modern guns is a completely ridiculous concept that laugh at gameworld immersion.

How this idea this passed quality control and made it into a game is a mystery.
I disagree. I think a master of telekinesis could just "will" something to work, and it would. I don't think they'd need to understand exactly how the mechanics work. A physical user, however, would need to know all the physical mechanics.

As mentioned before, Phyre isn't THAT ancient that they wouldnt know firearms. Their torpor happened in 1920s as far as we know. They use telekinesis because it would be demeaning to crouch and pick up a gun from a corpse.

And no, its not ridiculous at all. There is very little reason to use them normally if you could do what Phyre can.
