For all I know, the protagonist has been asleep for 100 years and do not know what a modern gun is, let alone how to use one.

A firearm is a complex piece of machinery that require training and skill to use properly and maintain. Telekinesis is fine for "pick up object" tasks, it is not fine for operating complex firearms that require precise aiming, hair-trigger feel, recoil damping etc.

The idea that a 400 (?) year old vampire with serious jetlag will happily use telekinesis to operate modern guns is a completely ridiculous concept that laugh at gameworld immersion.

How this idea this passed quality control and made it into a game is a mystery.
I disagree. I think a master of telekinesis could just "will" something to work, and it would. I don't think they'd need to understand exactly how the mechanics work. A physical user, however, would need to know all the physical mechanics.

As mentioned before, Phyre isn't THAT ancient that they wouldnt know firearms. Their torpor happened in 1920s as far as we know. They use telekinesis because it would be demeaning to crouch and pick up a gun from a corpse.

And no, its not ridiculous at all. There is very little reason to use them normally if you could do what Phyre can.

Having reviewed the latest combat gifs in one of the recent dev diary's they showed that your able to move while using telekinesis to throw barrels so hopefully phyre will be able to shoot on the move.

To be perfectly honest ...
I wouldnt call this a review in the first place ... i would struggle to even call it an article. :-/
Since i have seen twitter statuses that were twice as long. :-/

And contrary to this, they actually conained some informations ... all that is stated here is "yeah i kinda liked it" ... wich is certainly good for the author (i gues?), but such statement have 0 information value for me. :-/

What did he liked, what did he not liked, what is better, how is it better, wich part of the game stands out?
We dont know answer to any of those questions ...
What previews are those?
Well, mainly i was refering tho this one:

Actual article wich actually is talking about the game ...
And ofc. i was especialy focused on this part:

It looks goofy as hell. Trying to rationalise the logic behind using telekinesis guns is just pointless.
Going back to preventing using guns is even better than using telekinesis guns because it points an even bigger light and reminder to the fact that you can't pick them up.

I would really like to hear developers reasoning behind this decision ...

I mean, if you are thinking something is super cool, and basicaly whole community giving you feedack (wich is not big, that much i admit, but its all you have) says it looks horrible ... why would you keep thinking its super cool? :D

I think it makes sense. If i had telekinetic powers and someone I killed dropped a gun i would 100% mental pick it up and fire it
I would like to ask same question as i asked before ...
Why? :D

I mean ... do you see there any benefit in such action?
When compared to just flying that gun into your hand, and use it in regular way?

Um because fingerprints, the fact that i raise the gun up unload it and drop it is more action efficient then pulling it into my hand and pulling the trigger with my finger only to throw it away

Um because fingerprints
Contrary to popular belief ... and despite the enormous effort from western media ...

Fingerprints are not so easy to gather ... especialy not on object that lay outside, exposed to elements in the middle of winter. :)
But even if they would be able to gather them ...

They are aswell not a supernatural GPS leading to every single person on planet ... if you dont have record, police would have nothing ... just a single thing to recognize you, much less usefull than photo or description. ;)
But even if you would have record ... that record would be probably more than 100y old, since that is how long our character spend in torpor ... cant really imagine officer that wouldnt handwave that as some kind of misstake. :D

None of it is concerning tho, as long as police dont capture you.
And if they do ... man, you have much bigger problems than few dead bodies in alleway with abandoned unregistered gun that have your prints on it. xD

the fact that i raise the gun up unload it and drop it is more action efficient then pulling it into my hand and pulling the trigger with my finger only to throw it away
Maybe ...
Even more "Action efficient" is to ignore it and simply rip your enemy appart with your bare hands or some supernatural discipline. xD

Wich is something you should allways be able to do, since it seem safe to assume most gun-wielding enemies will be mortals.

But you said "fire it" ...
So i ask again, what tactical advantage you get from shooting via your telekinesis? :)
