Can't download 1.08

I have tried several times to download 1.08 without success. Each time the download appears successful but when I pull up the game it clearly says the version I am using is 1.07. When I deleted the game, re-installed it, and downloaded 1.08, it was the same. Now the game says I am using version 1.00. Any help you could give me would really be appreciated.

Look at the self help thread and notice that 1) Uninstall is a link, follow that link and perform a manual uninstall.

Dumb question but did you install 1.08? since you only mention downloading it.

Also what version do you have who is the publisher, their logo will be on the CD.

Thanks for the quick response. I definitely uninstalled it. I thought I installed 1.08 but nothing happens. I did not have any problems installing 1.07. The CD says the publisher is Strategy First.
 
Well there is no need to install 1.07, you only want 1.08, and are you sure you installed 1.08 or were you trying to install 1.08B the beta patches?
 
Okay but when you uninstalled did you follow the manual uninstall instructions or what?
 
I mean by following the manual uninstall instructions, including checking the registery and the instalshield files.
 
I metioned where you could find them in post #3.

Still having problems? try downloading the patch from a different location.

I have tried downloading it from both the forum and the paradox site. When I manually uninstalled it the last time, I noticed there was a 1.08 read file. However, when I pulled the game up, it still says 1.00 in the left hand corner of the screen. I also noticed that the file name is strategyfirst and not paradox. I am not sure if that means anything.
 
What is the publisher of your version, their name will be on your CD?
