I think they mean the province name, not the country name.

@GiscoV in this case, it would be the province names (folder of that name in the common folder). You'll need to copy either the phoenician or punic_group name list and make a new copy with your culture's name or group name. You can also make a list just for your country's tag.

Hi, I was told to come here to get troubleshooting help instead, So essentially my problem is that once my save is finished converting instead of it going straight into my eu4 mod list it tells me I have to do it manually. Which I have no Idea how to do, can someone please help, cheers.

Ok, so your launcher can see the mod. Create a new playset, add the mod to it, enable the playset on the first page of yhe launcher and start the game.

Sorry my bad, I forgot to mention that was another I made up that is now deleted never actually had the contents of the conversion in it.
You still haven't uploaded conversion's log.txt from the converter folder so I can see where you exported it. I still can only speculate you exported to wrong folder.

In the converter's CK3ToEU4/output filder you should find the mod. You can copy it to EU4'smod folder and then add it via launcher.

Cheers I’ve gone and looked in the output folder and followed your instructions, it’s there now and it works. Thanks have a good one

I completely apreciate it if you think it's too early to comment, but looking at Projet Caesar, do you think a conversion from CK3 to that will even be feasible/make sense? The map seems far more granular and with how counties work in CK3, I imagine it's just not doable except to get some super-blobs everywhere but I'd be interested in this team's take on the matter.

I'm quite certain CK3toEU5 will be a thing. How it handles the fragmentation is another matter. I agree most CK3s end in a blobfest so if I were doing this converter I'd add in an optional but enabled by default shattering system.

Hi, I'm working my way through a mega campaing from IR to Vic3. Wanted to check if The Fallen Eagle mod for CK3 is compatible to convert over to EU4?

Yes, should be fine, unless they changed something important recently.

NEW VERSION NOW RELEASED!
(DIRECT LINK TO THE DOWNLOAD)

NestorianReleaseBanner.png
Compatible with CK3 [1.12-1.14] and EU4 [1.37]

CK3ToEU4, 0.15Orisa

Halfway There Release

Chugging along just fine, 1.37 is now supported, as well as major mods we follow such as TFE, RICE, and naturally ImperatorToCK3 conversions. Previously we had a major issue with TFE but hopefully all has now been fixed and you can use it as an important stepping stone towards CK3 era in Imperator megacampaigns. With the imminent end of EU4 looming, we don't intend to stop support, on the contrary, it will now be easier to convert towards a fixed and unchanging target (akin to EU4ToVic2).

Hotfixes

  • Thankfully, none.

Coldfixes

  • A fix for incorrect dynastic name/adjective generation for countries using dynastic names. Also, an option to disable them if desired.
  • Fixed an issue with the Localization Unraveller that wasn't correctly generating/transferring CK3 locs to EU4.

Expansions

  • Support for 1.37 EU4.
  • A host of RICE updates.
  • Option for a completely custom start date.
  • Some support for Cultures Expanded cultures, tags and traditions.
  • Ported various CK2 religions over to CK3.
  • A ton of TFE mappings have been expanded and added.

Shuffles

  • Various new tag mappings added.
  • Updated dev weights to better reflect development mapping from CK3 to EU4.

Quick question, is it safe to still download 0.15 even though google says it's a suspicious download

Yeah, it just does that because we don't shell out the money to code sign and we haven't had enough downloads yet. If you want to verify, you can upload it to VirusTotal afterwards to check.

Assuming still no macos support?
As I said many times before, we'll have macos support as soon as we have a macos developer decide to join us and create said support. :)

Hi again, what is the earliest date I can convert a CK3 save into EU4? What happens if the CK3 save has not reached 1444?

Looking to test how the converter handles my mod list before I commit to a long playthrough in CK3.

Edit: Tested and it seems to run fine. However, the converter threw up a bunch of errors for unmapped provinces. I am using a save converted from I:R to CK3 running TFE. Is this something I should be worried about or cause issues further into the save?

You can convert at any date you want, skipping to 1444 or retaining the current year.

As for provinces, TFE changes the map a bit, but those few provinces aren't all that relevant to the conversion. Should be fine.

I have no idea where to post this or where i can get help, but for some reason I can never get the converter to actually start and I always get this error message. I tried some fixes to get it to function but nothing has worked so far. I am at a complete loss.

Go to Configuration/fronter-configuration.txt
Inside set both enableUpdateChecker and checkForUpdatesOnStartup to false, and then retry.

Ps. Or update the converter manually from first post and retry.

I have the lastest version and trying to update it or reinstall it doesnt change the outcome unfortunately, neither does settings the true values to false.
