Hey so question. Can the converter be changed so that if a county has no definition then random definitions will given to it? I would prefer some inconsistancies with the save file rather than troubleshooting game and converter versions. And if the output informs me about what was changed then I have no problem.
If you have a 1.2 save, have 1.2 CK3 installed and are using 0.4D converter that's designed for that, there should be no inconsistencies whatsoever. Ditto for 1.3 saves, 1.3 game and 0.6F converter.

If you have a borked save you started in 1.2 CK3 and imported in 1.3 CK3 that has dead lands, missing or extra titles, and many other issues - then your save is the issue, not the converter. We cannot map broken stuff into eu4 entities such as provinces or tags. There is no sensible way to work with a broken save, which is why we don't support such messes. The issue is far more complex than just "create a default country" as we require a huge amount of metadata to export a country that makes sense and that actually works in EU4.

Hey there. I was playing a megacampaign with Germany, starting from Imperator Rome (v.1.3.1) to Crusader Kings 3 (v.1.3.0). First mod save is working, but the problem comes to convert my last savegame in CK3 to Europa Universalis 4 Dharma (v.1.27, not the most actual but the one that works for me to convert my CK2 campaigns to EU4, which I was playing). Always in 60%, the converter shows an error message of conversion failed, probably related to converted cultures. The converter version I'm using is 0.6F - finnish_pagan, which I read is compatible with CK3 v.1.3 and EU4 v.1.30. Could it be the reason for the problem?
I'll leave the log.txt below if anyone can help me. Thanks :)

No, sorry, since both ck3 and eu4 are still active and each updates independently, we can only convert to and from the very latest of each. You'll have to upgrade EU4 to 1.30 I'm afraid.

Sorry for the incredibly late reply, but here you go. Same bug, different save file, different version of the converter.
I am sorry, can you please remind me what's wrong with your conversion?

The "Reform Norse" decision is actually broken and converts the country to noreligion, which clearly isn't right.

Just reupdated back to 1.30 and it works now. Many thanks <3

Our apologies, a small mistake was made in one of the files in the last patch. This will be fixed henceforth. For you personally, rather than reconverting, you can replace this file in the religions folder in your mod.

As Elf said, or just redownload the converter, either works.

[ERROR] Landed title c_alicante has no definition in counties={} section of the save game! [ERROR] Converter Error! See log.txt for details.
If you imported 1.2 save into 1.3 ck3, you borked your save as the games are incompatible.

Hello idk where to ask the question but I hope you guys can help me. So I converted a Ck3 to Eu4, it is a multiplayer Campaing and we have used the converter on CK3 before the update and DLC hit. But in our multiplayer games we experience constant (and I mean constant in like every 5 minuites) desyncs or crashes. I already played the mod through on solo so the mod itself and experienced no crahses so this problem is mod exclusive. (I can share the mod if that helps)

Are the dynasty CoA's really needed for the conversion? I used a mod that added some extras and now the some don't have definitions which results in an error during conversion. Is there any way to exclude them from?

No need. What you're seeing is vanilla eu4 instability with modded games. Nothing to do with the conversion itself.

Does anyone know were the localization for religions that are made in ck3 are after being converted to eu4 are, my religion that I made has the wrong name and wanted to fix it but no results in my searches of the mod folder have come up.

the term, converted_dynamic_faith_102, is no were to be seen in the localization yet the conversion still has a description when playing the game.

Should be in <mod>/localisation/replace/converter_l_english.yml

2021-03-29 17:48:39 [ERROR] Converter Error! See log.txt for details.
2021-03-29 17:48:39 [ERROR] If you require assistance please upload log.txt to forums for a detailed post-mortem.

Any ideas whats causing this?

Check that county in CK3, it sounds like you may have had a 1.2 save that you kept playing in 1.3. There is a chance that that county has no holder, which causes problems. You might be able to fix it by giving a character that province with the console.

So ive managed to give that county a holder, but That county also doesn't have a religion. Do you know if theres a cheat to assign religion?

I do not, sorry. 1.2 games are not compatible with 1.3, and we cannot support their conversions. If you have a 1.2 save before the upgrade, you can use 0.4D converter to convert it, after you have downgraded CK3 to version 1.2.
