You'll get very, very, very dark grey provinces. I'm not sure what effect this will have on whatever it is you've done that makes the provinces lighten in colour as they get toward the core (damn cool effect, BTW), though, Josip.

Something a little lighter perhaps, names are hardly readable...

Ick. I forgot the names would be on seazones. I'll see what I can do.

Majbe some gray color, dark gray or alike, also if we manage to do something about this black seaprovinces, if we can get them to work somehow, I'd guess they would be very eye disturbing...

Thank you swede, and I have a good Space colour, but you still need to write planet names in white...

I also have some ideas for the tags (I've begun to divide them) so who ever I should e-mail that too speak up...

The Map, it's spectacular! We're actually doing something! :D :D :D

Also nice to see that the planets that surround Terra are mine. :D

Umm don't get me wrong, but no, names stay black. So, we can either use some dark grayish, blueish or maybe some color in between these two, but black just wont work... Now this isn't Earth map any more where most of the game is played out on the map of the continent, where colors are nice and lovely, we're talking about huuge seazones that cover 90 % of the map, and black would fraknly, be eye-killing...

My is a very, very deep royal blue... so maybe we need to consider re-colouring the names, if you send me the map I'll do it... but space is black... very very black...

Okay you asked for it:

Now even if the text was white, you still think this would be playable? Heck, these were the shots of galactic core, and only thing that says so is the minimap, lighter shading of galactic center that was visible on my previous screens isn't even recognizable now...

Why don't we just use the blues you used until we have a better idea... My colour was just being thrown out there.

The blues certainly are very pretty, it's just a pity they don't look very spacy.
Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck with lighter shades of grey, mostly, they just look terrible. Sticking with the pretty blues for the time being seems like the wise course.

As a thought, what can we do with those terrain images (the ones that make the forest and desert graphics on the standard maps, and the disused ones of whales and winds)? Hypothetically, can we do what Paradox did for Victoria, and create one of these the size of the whole map, that would add stars and terrain features to an otherwise spartan map?
