Community Q&A

We want to ensure that the content in Chapter IV is the best it can be, and a huge part of that is building strong communications and relationships between us and our players. Your feedback on existing content as well as upcoming features is vital to this effort. To facilitate this, we're collecting questions from all of you until March 19, and will publish a video responding to as many of these as we can on March 26th. Submit your questions below in the comments, or on any of our social media channels.
I am looking forward to the video!

I really like the dominance mechanic. call me optimistic but I think the devs are starting to listen about the game let us hope the Ai will know how to use it (call me stupid if you want)

I just hope it doesn’t cause the steppe to be filled with potential Ghenghis Khans, which was what I read the developers lamented the CK2 steppe dlc eventually became.

yeah, i really want to see defensive alliances in a way that isn't too crazy (like ck2) but still strong enough to prevent player snowballing
Unlikely to prevent it, slow down perhaps. But the bots struggling a little bit harder will be appreciated nonetheless.
Agreed, adding a mechanic like that for all governments ('coalitions', 'defensive pacts', etc) would do _so_ much for the international diplomacy of the game. Reading books about medieval history, there are constant treaties and actions of containment, having the world respond to conquers (be they player or AI) would really help making international politics feel alive.
As long as the functionality exists, somebody is likely to make a mod that expands it to others. Does not help vanilla purists but nobody forces us to play vanilla.

Join us tomorrow at 2PM CEST for our next dev diary detailing the Nomadic flavor coming to CK3 with Khans of the Steppe; we'll be covering new decisions, casus bellis, cultural traditions, men-at-arms types, and more!
