apart from the art and music one tomorrow, what Dev Diary is there will be left before the release of roads to power?
Three DDs left before release (if we don't count tomorrow's DD), and the last of them is likely going to be about achievements and patch notes, as is customary. That leaves two DD.

There is still a bit of ground to cover: the biggest elephant in the room is the free update content, i.e. scheme redesign, 4th crusade (which is basically a redirection of a great holy war towards a claimant-beneficiary), and tradition updates to existing cultures (Normans, Armenian, Outremer being prime candidates here).

We also haven't got info on cross-DLC content, like the new artifacts (which would be RC). The moving mechanical lions or the mechanical birds can be seen in the throne room, so they would be a good example.

And since everything we got so far was/is WIP, it means it's subject to change. They'll probably also want to include a small section about revisions, i.e. the Conrois stats in the final version, among others.

I'd say they won't run out of stuff to post.

That's a decent amount of stuff, I wonder if they'll put some of that miscellaneous stuff in the art and music DD. While I think the art and music are important and deserve recognition, I personally don't find it very interesting to read about and am disappointed when a DD doesn't contain gameplay information, so I would find it a welcome addition.

That's fair I suppose.

But don't you worry, while all the DLC's mechanical additions have already been covered, there are very likely several more videos coming (the usual cooperation with YouTubers, like last week's video ft. Soul_Tomao). There you can get a better look at things we already know about, like landless mechanics or the Byzantine activities.

The first such video was released 3-4 days ago or so, there's a chance you won't be disappointed this week as well. While we might know about the mechanics, we still don't have all the details, so those videos often include a few tidbids on that.

But as far as completely new content goes, it seems we're mostly done now. Tomorrow we get a look at the new clothing and music, the UI probably, maybe also the building/holding art, and that's basically the entire expansion.

Nothing more according to the product page. Other than the free update and cross-DLC content, we're now through. So you'd have to wait for the first DD on Wandering Nobles to get a look at something completely new.

I wonder if the scheme changes would warrant an entire DD but that's just speculation on my part.

But you're right, they probably explained all the new mechanics that pertains to the DLC itself.

Today marks a special occasion, a milestone of sorts.

It was on the 3rd of June that Roads to Power was announced. That was a Monday, and between then and now, exactly 12 weeks have passed. With 4 weeks remaining to the release on the 24th of September, it means that between the official announcement and release, we have reached the 75% mark today.

I'd also like to use this chance to ask our beloved Hero of the People, @PDX-Trinexx , about next week's DD, as there was no mention of it at the end of today's DevDiary.

Tell us, oh glorious source of the people's most desired information, is there will be a DD next week, and if yes, what will it be about?

you need to invoke his name three times for the invocation to work !!
This time around, for a change, I thought I'd try the Supreme Soviet route, and appeal to Trinexx's sense of patriotism and love for the proletariat. You know, emphasize the Council in a Council Republic.

But I have no problem holding an archaic Grand Rite tomorrow, if the prospect of getting some imaginary party/war hero bling doesn't work.

did they say what the next DD is about? this is the third time they don't mention it at the end like usual, which is unusual
It's as if they want us to ask about it, and I'll gladly comply. Since Trinexx wasn't online for the better part of today, I assume he'll be around tomorrow to hopefully unveil the mystery about next week's topic.

The secular appeal has failed. Time to start the rites!

First, we have to obstruct all windows and door and light sources. Only the flames of our candles may illuminate the room. Then we need the summoning circle, before we get the sacrifices.

Let's see, the instructions in the manual clearly demand that I use three chicken. No more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the count shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count to two, except thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then sacrifice the three chicken towards summoning the great spirit.

Then the goat shall be placed in the middle of the summoning circle, and sacrificed as well. One goat, no more, not less.

Finally, place the magic mirror in the circle in which the summoning takes place, so that the spirit thou hath summoned can take possession of it and communicate properly.

But the summoning shalt not be complete, unless the magic words are spoken:

Bloody @PDX-Trinexx Bloody @PDX-Trinexx Bloody @PDX-Trinexx
Oh, you Great Spirit of the mysterious beyond, Is there will be a DD next week? And if yes, what topic will it cover?

The summoning is now complete, all we can do is wait.

Yes, there is will be. It will cover a range of various topics; mainly things we wanted to discuss but either ran out of room for in previous DDs or wasn't lengthy enough to justify its own DD.
