Exactly. The dissolution of the e_byzantium title seems to have confused the game about where to place the former emperor. In the stream, the game first tried to make him a courtier of himself, then cycled through a couple emperors' courts and a governor's court. But it never seemed to stick. And as @Ksiendzu said, it never offered him an adventurer camp which WAD is supposed to do according to DDs.
Admin government has the flag "landless_playable", so it is possible that titleless characters, and not just landless characters that are of administrative government (which they automatically are if their liege is administrative, or if your government gets changed by event which did happen) don't get a game over

That would be wonderful.

Fellow council members, dear friends, today we're looking at a whole bunch of interesting incoming content, before it all culminates in the big release tomorrow.

First, we can expect a DevDiary today, which will give us the patch notes for tomorrow's update.

Later in the day, in a bit less than 8 hours from now, the review embargo falls. While some videos were released four days ago, it was just a bit of gameplay from half a dozen YouTubers. Today, the embargo falls for more people, we'll get reviews in, and some of them are already scheduled on YouTube for 18.00 CET.

Today, we're also around the 99.10% mark, 15 weeks and 6 days of the 16 weeks between the official announcement and release have passed. Tomorrow, at 18.00 CET, in exactly 32 hours (minus a few minutes) as of posting this, if nothing goes wrong, the full release will be upon us:

Next week, the council will be back again, looking towards the future. As we all know, there is a last DLC on the horizon, scheduled for this year:

As they say, stay tuned...

You left out the part where we posted the soundtrack to RoPo on YouTube!

You're seriously making the last 30 hours before release as painful as possible! I'm not sure I was this excited even for T&T, and I still vividly remember my excitement going through the roof a year ago.

Again, the work on and around RoPo, from art to music to mechanics, to media presence, documentaries and other promotional stuff, you're setting a high bar for all other PDX studios. Know that it is really very much appreciated, and you can go ahead and tell everyone you run into today, who was/is working on it, that much.

But since I'm as greedy as anyone can be, when can we expect news on Wandering Nobles? I guess it'll be a November release, with roughly 5-6 DevDiaries, so the first DevDiary might be in early October?

I remember being excited for Tours and Tournaments, but I was nowhere near as hyped as I am for this DLC. Tours and Tournaments was a nice addition and rework of important systems, and laid the groundwork for Landless gameplay with the travel system. This DLC/update feels like it’s going to be a game changer and first “must have” DLC, for many reasons. The fact that you can keep playing after you lose all your land, which used to be a game over. The fact that you have a choice for playing as someone other than your main heir after you die. The new government type that drastically alters the gameplay loop for Byzantium. The new start date and fourth crusade The message system. You can even switch to a different dynasty through the Historical Characters system. It’s just so much. I have a thousand ideas for new playthroughs when the DLC releases, and I typically have a hard time finding interesting places/characters to play.

This DLC looks like it will easily be the best CK3 DLC to date. Here’s to hoping that it manages to live up to the hype and that future major DLCs can build on the game as much as this one will.

Well I would not say its the first must have update, I think Tours & Tournaments already is a must have dlc.

But yes, I am excited too. Lets hope this will get further built upon next year. I would love a religious DLC around that time and maybe a crusade rework to fit the 1178 bookmark.

This is the first review of RtP I believe:
There are currently more new videos on YouTube than we could possibly link here, without making a huge mess.

The embargo ended, so use the remaining 22h and watch all the videos. The council will refrain from linking any more videos, though, so close to release.
