i'll fill in for @PDX-Trinexx, no there will not be as it is still, January. It's probably mid February as they want to get a patch out in the later stages of Q2 as told by the end of year overview

IMO they need to atleast give us a gist of their plans for this year before releasing that patch.

We're looking at February 11th for our next dev diary, but it's not set in stone at this point. This is ahead of the Chapter 4 reveal as well, so don't take that as an indicator of when we're announcing chapter roadmap.

Probably the free update with QoL improvements and bug fixes hinted at by a couple of devs earlier, wonder if the military stuff and court positions teased in an earlier DD will be part of that update or it'll come later with chapter 4

So, at the very earliest, we could expect Chapter 4 announcement on February 18th. Provided of course that announcements will be presented on DD days.

While nothing can be confirmed or denied yet, I feel it is my obligation, dear esteemed members of this august body, to share a little something with you. It may be nothing, or it may be a small hint at what is to come this year, or better yet "next year", which is the Chinese Year of the Snake starting tomorrow on the 29th of January. Those are essentially new years wishes for the Chinese community.
For those who don't know, or have forgotten, this is the game director of CK3, who thanks the Chinese fans for all the good feedback in the past year, and is "extremely excited" for the things coming this year:

Again, it may be nothing, but it also may be a small hint that China will get a bit attention in 2025. Make of that what you will.

So what do you expect for the patch?
They teased the following coming at some point:
- QoL updates (cant wait to play with the new Court positions interface)
- Legends of the Dead Improvements
- Bugfixes, lag Improvements?

The game director says that LotD was the best update to grace CK3, why would we want to improve on already perfect content?
