Tsk tsk...Sid, just compress it with WinRAR and email it to CCbasin at hotmail dot com.

k i sent the save.

Rock on, thanks CC.

Sid, I have no idea how good or bad my new cable connection is, so if it's problematic, you'll probably be hosting again.

Well gents, that was bloody fun last night. Finally had a PvP war. The lag seemed to have killed it, but oh well. Plus we were thisclose to having another major conflict blow up when Italy initially refused to hand over Rashka, but I am glad our neighbors recognized the folly of their claims to that province. I want to sincerely thank my Georgian allies for backing my rightful claim. Now I can't wait until Cc comes back so we can have another showdown in the East. :D

How am I supposed to go about taking Rashka? Would it be possible to just have it edited into my demesne? I'm asking because I am weary of having to claim and start another war that will raise BB for one province that was supposed to be mine anyway. My monarch has realm duress at the moment, so I'm afraid that anything I do wrong now can force push my vassals over the edge.

Indeed, the lag was killer on the PvP action...I was having problems slowing the game down, and it drove us all nuts. I need to practice that before next Friday in case another war breaks out.

The lag killed any number of brave Russian soldiers; we must definitely slow down for the next war. And yes, it would be good to have CC back so I can have an ally that would not raise all its armies and then have them sit about in their home provinces. Invade Hungary, damn you! Or, as the case may be, an enemy not allied to the Mother of All Georgias. :D

Hey KoM-

If you can point me to a good program to prune the savegame file, and tell me how to get it to work, I'd be more than happy to clean the game up.

As far as the speed goes, yeah, it was killing us. I'm going to try to figure out why I couldn't get the speed to change during the game.

Well, I'd need to experiment a wee bit with the program myself - guesswork is usually not very helpful in these matters. Maybe you could post the save, and I'll try the pruning programs? That way I could understand how they work, and clean up the save, all at once. :)

I've got nowhere to post it, and CC is out of town, but I can email it to you if you give me your email address.

On a different note, sometime after my next heir matures, I'm going to do some title switching...I did some experimenting, and if you have the Emperor of Byzantium title as anything other than your primary, it does nothing special. I am going to give the title to my primary heir when he comes of age, and then play as him. No point being the Emperor if your vassals don't treat you like it...

Well, I guess I'll get it at the end of today's session - I don't really have time to experiment today, I just barely have time to play.

any chance of either KoM or Justin staying on icq so I can like contact you guys when we crash?

any chance of making it policy to check icq for when people crash?

I just sent it to you, CC. Are you going to be able to make it tomorrow?

Excellent. You can stop Russia from nibbling at your borders, then.

Hello gents. F-ing bad news. Thanks to this goddamn move I still don't have my DSL, even though the pricks at SBC said last week it would be up yesterday. So now I have to resort to using my uni's internet, bah. SBC now says they have to get the okay from some other douches since apparently my area has "poor service" which is utter BS since I only moved a few blocks, plus my brother's friend has DSL and he only lives 3 houses away. So we're now telling SBC to take their DSL and shove where the sun don't shine. When I get home today I'm driving to the nearest Comcast location and telling them to hook up a cable connection. That said, there is a snowal's chance in hell I will make it tonight, I don't even have dial-up right now, the horror! Anywho, good luck tonight, don't chip away at Hungary too much. ;)

Ack, that sucks. Well, I guess we'll see you on Friday, then...
