This appears to be an unfortunate state of events, the Kingdom of Italy has sadly been defeated by a combination of bad luck, realm duress and heathen invasions, oh and back stabbing germans.
THe Third War of Independance will go down in history as merely a foot note where the once created Kingdom was crushed, it was strong for a time but could not survive in the end Darwinian style.
EDIT: I'm going to go to bed now and defrag my computer for saturdays MTT game, at least as China I'm not likely to lose as badly
I'll decide by next week what do next, I think I'll write my epilogue.

Got a chance to look at the save. Why didnt you tell me that poland was in a war with Germany!! Oh well, it will be good practice for me. Also, is Wilcox still England?? KOM, thanks for your restraint toward Poland. # provs is not a lot to lose for that amount of time.
Actually, I'm not sure if I knew Poland was at war with Germany, I was at war myself. I probably forgot about it. Wilcox isn't England anymore...his Kingdom splintered apart, I think he's the King of Denmark right now.
well well, turns out having my kingdom overrun was a mixed blessing, I do not think I will be able to make it to any future games on fridays I just got rehired by a restuarant I wash dishes for and its an evening thing from 1700H-0000H weekends by the looks of it. So I won't be able to make it fridays though if there are fridays where I can play I'ld still like to sub someone or play some random nation then.

Poland is at war with Germany? I didn't even notice. But I must say I'm not surprised. Last session the damn Polish AI DOWed me four times. Four! And each and every time I handed him his ass, and took no land, except when he took some from my vassals, then I took that back. So with that kind of record, well, those damn Piasts deserve what they get.
I think I have taken two provinces from Poland while CC has been away, Memel by inheritance and one that I had a claim on when the AI DOWed me three weeks ago. I have also acquired a claim on the Polish crown, I'm not sure how I got it, though.
Oh, and purged save here. By the way, the latest save was "Empire of Byzantium_1185_january_1.eug", right? If not, I purged the wrong one. Cuts the size from 33 megs to 15 megs, rather nice.
