Definitely not. Current width with more provinces, now, that would be swell.Riddermark said:Agreed, CK needs a world map, with everybody playable.

ManOnTheMoon said:The idea of being able to continue your empire up through the ages via several Paradox titles is brilliant!! Imagine playing one of the British provinces starting at Hastings and playing through the Second Gulf War? Wow... too cool!!
Because such a system would traverse several different games, the graphics and gameplay and AI logic will be distinctivly different, thereby keeping the campaign fresh.

I don't want to see Robert Guiscard fight the Chinese or William the Conquerer, taking on the Aztec Empire.
Though on the other hand the game engine used to create EU3 certainly has a much better interface, so I hope the same would apply to CK2.kanzlooz said:No need for 3D, it's a strategy role playing game.. the things that are really important are diplomatic actions, event, characters, traits, more provinces, etc etc..
If they do that I don't give a crap how the map looks!!!
Well actually... if they make the map like real medieval maps looked like![]()
that would be really cool![]()
Riddermark said:Without a world map you can't simulate the Horde invasions, timurids etc properly, and i don't see the problem of isolating europe so that it won't interact with the rest of the world until the time is right.
Riddermark said:Yeah but not to have the other regions is plain stupid, since you had the empire of Alexander even well before CK timeframe so it's not as if the Europeans were unaware of it. Or you want me to believe that Europeans in the CK timeframe firmly believed, much like the Roman Empire, that there is nothing more beyond their lands
Hell even the vikings went so many places including america.
I guess you are right about the rest of the world being playable, and out of the scope of the project though.

It's a bit weird that you're leading the troops but are unable to control them or even seeing how they're doing.![]()
