Can we expect that we are only able to pick specialised Decks instead of "Global Decks" ?
I really hope we still can make individual Decks like in Wargame (with picking cards of Units into the Divison Layout)
Like Airborne gets more experienced Infantry but less tanks.
Tank specialized decks can call in Tanks more early and experienced?

I really would like a Deck System Blog as soon as possible because it is a really touchy subject to many.
Artillery looked like it was also a Deck Card like planes.

I would expect that divisions are similar to specialized decks in Wargame and that you will basically not be able to play "unspecialized" decks anymore.

So for example 101st Airborne would be like "USA airborne" in Wargame, but you are not able to play USA general.

Just a guess though.

I'm curious to what extent deck building is allowed.

For example, do you play as the '101st Airborne' with cards more or less set. Or can you make your own airborne deck, and are given a lot of leeway with what you put in and how you design it?

I really hope its not set but that you only get restricted what types of units you can put into your Deck.
I also think that all the named Divisions refer more to the Singleplayer campaign than to the Multiplayer component (that honestly most care about)

"Steel Division: Normandy 44 allows players to take control over legendary military divisions from six different countries, such as the American 101st Airborne, the German armored 21st Panzer or the 3rd Canadian Division, during the invasion of Normandy in 1944."
Doesn´t sound like deck building to me. However I think i´ve read that you should be able to create your own divisions with the mod support

Taken from the announcement page
"Outplan, Outsmart, Outgun: From battlegroup customization to..."

Sounds to me like you choose a division type and then customize your units within the limits of that division type, or to put it another way much like a spec deck in Wargame.

Still, I'd be very surprised if creating detachments from army assets (Hvy Tnk Btlns, SP brigades, Engineers etc) wouldn't be possible

I hope you're right Razz, non-spec decks always kinda took away from Wargame's gameplay IMO
forcing everyone to take a specialization and balancing around that point will make for good dynamic gameplay

Sound to me like the Singleplayer Divisions in the campaign.
That stuff should have no relevance in Multiplayer.

Decks? What? I'm a little lost here, could someone explain what's being discussed?

Do remember divisions are significant size units, and can include a multitude of battalions under them with variable equipment even if they are say an airborne, customisation could allow you to be more focused on airborne artillery support over airborne light tanks or the other way round as an example. EG say Red Devils are in, you could pick to bring more artillery and anti tank guns, or bring a mass of light tanks.

In the Wargame series you make a deck of units that you can bring into the battle. Because it's RTT, there are no factory buildings to make units.
Do you only get a fixed number of units per match then?

Yes its possible to completely run out of units. But usually you put something cheap in your deck that you get a lot of (like an M48 Patton or T-55 in Wargame's context) that you can use as a last resort in case you lose all of your heavy stuff.
