When the talks about an EU3 campaign were there, I was indeed busy. And there were some family matters at some time. I hope you are not questioning my honesty there.

As for now: I have decided I rather play a poorer game with a few people I know very well, than a better game with too many people I can't stand for. The ideal situation for me would be that the majority of my online friends here decided to play an EU3 campaign instead, but the most recent discussions have showed me that this won't happen in the near future.

I meant no offense towards you, I was reading the EU2 mp forums when I saw your signup and wanted to do a friendly jab, and I am sorry if you thought that I accused you of anything. I see no problem of you wanting a game with friends, and hopefully you will be able to convert the unbelievers who are still hanging on to EU2.

Just kidding. While it can be argued wether EU2 or EU3 may be best in game terms, EU2 players seems to be way ahead when it comes to setting up campaigns, as EU3 players tend to play with as few rules as possible, which might be related to why we only have completed one campaign.

Also most people seem to prefer 19.00 CET as starting time so I would say we go with that time and think about some solution for Marts_SX.

Remember that in order to be ontime you must be in V-net (not ICQ) at 18.50 CET.

Finaly: Please all check your connections. You have the next 3 weeks to do so - use them. The time to fix potential router issues is now and not on our first session. :D

I was just here thinking about the game title... Why Defeat after Deceit... I have convinced many people of believing in things that werent true in-game and when i was sucessful at it i didnt get defeated. ;)

It probably means that you first deceit them, then defeat them. So, in your case, they would've been defeated, not you. Were they? :D

And an unbroken link to a place to dl watk would be awesome. I'm eager to explore Denmark's possibilities (for suriving :eek:o).

EDIT: Never mind that. bluelotus provided me with what I needed. :)

Ok, I'm having serious trouble with watk. I did copy my eu2 folder, and overwrote everything in there with what I got in the .rar above.
now when trying to run eu2.exe, the screen turns black and the whole computer freezes :wacko:

What'd I do wrong?

EDIT: I seem to have encircled a problem; putting my original CD in renders the whole computer frozen to. It seems to be because of some file called "demo.exe", which won't fire as it's supposed to. I think I have heard of such a problem before, anything you guys can recognize?

I need the CD to be able to get a clean new install. I have my eu2 folder cluttered with AGCEEP and other things, and possibly it were those which caused the initial problem.

EDIT2: nevermind, it seems to work now. So, I have another question instead; what scenario exactly are we going to play? The "FAL_mp_v1" or "FAL_mp_v2"?

Well speaking of deceit, somehow i remember when i annexed the Azteks as Ottoman Empire. Neither Spain or Ottoman Empire got defeated by such a move, but Spain did get screwed.

Boy, what i wouldnt pay to have seen FAL's face when he saw the message "Ottoman Empire has declared war upon Aztek Empire". :rofl:

That was the funniest move i ever done in my life - even funnier then the Protestant Polish Indian Company. :p

You certainly screwed Spain with a stunning move of deceit in that campaign and it was emblematic. But in the long run your string of deceptions have resulted in you no longer playing the game anymore, because you couldn't stand being deceited yourself.

How about stop dwelling on the past in various game and even AAR threads?

What are you speaking about? If memory serves after that move of mine you were the one that left and i was virtually forced to give you mexico back in order to keep having you playing Spain. I was even going to take Incas but after all the bitching of yours i gave up such a plan.

Seriously FAL. You were wrong, you acted wrong, and you still dare to be inconvenient and speak lies?

I have another question; what will the game speed be? I better start learning not to pause at every pop-up like I do in SP. Somehow I feel that won't be appreciated. :eek:o

I am referring to John and Drake deceiving you in Quest for Conquest V.

Did you left playing EU2 MP completely after this, or not? If not, I am wrong and apologise for the misunderstanding.

I offer you to stop talking about the past endlessy in game threads that have nothing to do with it. How about that? It's pretty annoying to keep refreshing old campaigns and have a 'did!' 'no, did not!!' discussion about what happened constantly. Especially because you keep gloating about your succeses and seem to conveniently forget your losses ;)

I've input a link on page 1 to the Goetterdaemmerung Stats page from where you all can download the scenario (which will be tweaked somewhat however).

Dear FAL can u give me a link to wherever you have the WATK package? Your old link doesn't seem to work. :)
