Hello everyone!

We are currently working to track down the underlying causes of the performance issues, and we can use some help gathering more instances of particularly poor performance.

It would be helpful to get a variety of saves from (unmodded) games that were started after 4.0.3 was released, where performance is really bad. We'd like to use them for both script profiling purposes and to try to identify common elements between them.

Thank you!
Wouldnt the saves perform differently on dev PCs tho? Because of different GPU, CPU, etc?

This one got quite slow (it's post-2400).
During space battle, which wasn't even a big one - 5k+5k vs 6k, everything was lagging/stuttering.

I just started a new game and there was noticeable stuttering from day 1. I've played several other games for quite a bit without performance issues (with the same galaxy setup, but different empires), so it doesn't seem to be an issue with my hardware.

Edit - I loaded the save back up, and the stuttering went away after a couple of days - only noteworthy message in the error log is
"[14:29:27][gamestate.cpp:2261]: Repaired savegame, cleared 98 invalid deposits!"

From 4.0.4, but here's a lategame save where the lag became so bad I couldn't continue playing. I conquered 9/10 of the medium size galaxy and one fallen empire as wilderness.

They absolutely do. Some of the saves from this thread aren't giving us poor performance internally, but they still give us some potentially valuable information since they show us what kinds of things you're doing that might differ from how we might normally play internally, or may have common threads with other saves.

I've passed this batch on to the programmers, and this will probably do for now. (If someone does end up with a really bad case in the early to mid game, that may still be of interest, and consistent OOSes and crashes on the latest patch are always of interest.)

Multiplayer. At first everything went fine, then "standard" desynchronization of 3 parameters (they were already reset) followed by a single COUNTRY_RESOURCE (every 5-10 days after synchronization)
4.0.5

I've no save, but I noticed that hitting ~50+ bioships in a shipyard's queue causes the game to lose frames and possibly slow down while the interface is open. May also affect normal ships, but haven't tested yet.
