I've started another game today with Italy. Austrian-Hungaric Empire declared war on Serbia. Entente declared war on Triple Alliance. No pop-up.
I have reload a previous save game ( ten days before conflict starts ) and the game prompted me.

That is called murphys law...

5) was Germany and Austria-hungary allies?

If you havent realised, you can simply right click on anything in the game log and change the settings such that a popup appears, rather than just appearing in the game log. This is a standard HOI feature, has nothing to do with TGW, and we do not see why we should script special events to cover something you could easily achieve yourself with a simple right click and a left click to change the settings. It's only two clicks.

Also I should point out that Allenby has written some notification of war events, so there's no way you can miss those.

I know, but that's not the problem. It's the event itself that makes the HoI task to crash to windows.

Sounds good.
With 1.05c patch the event ( but it's better to talk about THE EVENTS ;) ) have not made crash the game.
Still, there seem to be ... how can I say? A little problem.

The first message ( no pop-up as I told before, since I have deactivated it and put it into game log on the bar ) is "Germany had Germany has been defeated".
Then the usual "Germany left the alliance ... ".
The strange thing is that the entire world seems to have an "election-spree". The game asked me three times to elect a new government. Then China had some little internal problems ( new countries ).
Great Britain two times the Flu, United States as well; then some Christmas-anger ( even if it's not december yet ... maybe they have anticipated it ... )...

Still the game crashes when I use the "liberate puppet" option ( I think is a new introduction, isn't it? ).

Did you download the fix for the tech tree?

Apply murphys law here

Did you play Spain? Their king sacked the PM so often back then.

What´s the problem with that?

Great Britain two times the Flu, United States as well

What´s wrong with that? The flu lasted a little longer than one day :D

then some Christmas-anger ( even if it's not december yet ... maybe they have anticipated it ... )...
That is a random event, I once had it in the middle of summer :D

I don't have the "Liberate Puppet" button.

Intentional in this mod?

That is a 1.05c and 1.06 specific thingy, download 1.05c and NOT 1.06 and install it to the mod, should work.

One thing at time! :D

Zuckergußgebäck: the problem was that all these events shown up in a single time :D. But I forgot to install no time limit patch, so the game from 1918 jumped to 1st january 1935.
The strange thing is: I have annexed Austro-Hungaric Empire and some other new Countries born after the fall of zar's Russia, without the message "Austria-Hungary had ... "; so, the fact I can't annex Germany as well ( I like german beer and their food, especially that made in south of German :D ) surprised me a little.
I think anyway after the event "Germany is defeated" it should start the peace conference and so the Versailles Treaty ... well it crashes again :D.
If with patch 1.05c I solved the problem "Germany is defeated", with an hyphothetical patch 1.05d I can solve the Versailles Treaty too .

Allenby: yep.

The defeat event for AH only fires if Germany has been defeated.

This condition has now been removed, so you can no longer annex AH.

Ok.
What about insert new events. For example, with a small probability, a pop-up that ask the player if he desire becoming an empire.
Italy may want some territories ( well all the Balcan area :D ) after the fall of Austrian-Hungaric Empire.
I know it's ahistorical, but even in Hearts of Iron standard Soviet Union can ask Germany ( I saw that event while playing with nationalsocialist Germany ) if they can make an agreement, a military alliance against any opposition.
What do you say? And more than other, is it possibile?

Copy&paste from the other thread.
For Zuckergußgebäck:

Zuckergußgebäck, still I insist you should put italian flag among Germany and Austria-Hungary flag in the Winning Screen.
Your logic fails: even if Italy left Triple Alliance, that was made in 1882 between these three european powers; and mean nothing if Turkey, when Italy leaves the alliance, remains the third major power.
That's incorrect as much as the name "Entente". The Entente was made between Great Britain and France in 1904 and then become Triple Entente with Russia adhesion.

I had nothing to do with that, I wasn´t even there at the beginning.
