Calling people who happen not to share your opinion "hyped yes-men" certainly is a very reasonable, courteous way of making your point. Kudos for your fantastic argumentative technique and impeccable manners. And you've certainly made an impression by taking an edgelordy, maverick-like, self-victimizing "unpopular opinion" stance.Unpopular opinion: Let this game die already.
Multiplayer is unplayable, because this game had reached its technical limitations a long time ago, it is just unhealthy.
No DLC or update is ever going to fix this horrible performance and the developers do not even deny this fact.
I happily awaited and bought every EU4 DLC until now and with every DLC I just got more disappointed at the end,
throwing my money out the window to be honest. Why should the disappointment now perish?
This is my childhood and I really loved this game. But this is like keeping a corpse alive agsinst its own will, if it had one.
And about gameplay: Just look at all the new bonuses, which even the smallest countries will get via mission trees or events.
The balance also died a long time ago but this is getting more and more ridiculous.
I already know more people here will disagree than agree on my post,
because the community here is mostly made up of hyped yes-men. But this is completely delusional.
Just look at the steam review ratio of every DLC that has been released during the last years.

It wasn't in the original roadmap, so I imagine they didn't manage to fit the DD into their schedule. It's strange that they mention Danzing here. Maybe a surprise content?
Will Danzig and the Prussian Confederation have their own route and possibly dev diary, or will they just be considered a failure mode?
My current game went TO->Danzig->Prussa (as a Stratocratic Republic)->Germany, so I'm interested in this as a possible branch.
For now they are the "failure mode" as you describe it. However, a Prussian Merchant Republic in form of Danzig does have its appeal...
Anyone knows who is the man on the left? I only know the middle one is Gustav and the right one is Albrecht .

Yep and a mobile game UI with useless 3D models....Eu5? More like base Eu4 with a few extra features and updated graphics that aren't that great.
I'm not sure you understand what EU5 would look like. It's all well and good wanting an EU5, but you have no idea what it'll look like.Unpopular opinion: Let this game die already.

I'm sure EU5 is already in development and will be announced next year.Unpopular opinion: Let this game die already.

Actually, I was going to complain about Antarctica. The Emperor Penguins are on the march...Finally we can stop complaining about lack of content in North/Eastern Europe and start complaining abount lack of content in the Middle East, Caucasus and South America
Now this, this is exciting!I'm sure EU5 is already in development and will be announced next year.
I also prefer that they keep updating EUIV for some time. The only reason why I would want EUV is because of the frozen map changes for EUIV.Yep and a mobile game UI with useless 3D models....
Exactly why I don't want an EU5.
They still have to release at least 2 more Immersion packs (and some free patches between them). Maybe, at the earliest, it will be announced in late 2023, but most likely in 2024.I'm sure EU5 is already in development and will be announced next year.
OK, interesting. Although they might have added and adjusted some parts of the Prussian mission tree to it.It wasn't in the original roadmap, so I imagine they didn't manage to fit the DD into their schedule.
Back in the days of the Teutonic DD (when dinosaurs ruled the earth) I asked about a Danzig route if the player lost against the Confederation, and here was what Ogele said.
I see my feedback was incorporated. Squee!
We also need a South America immersion pack + some free patches or another immersion pack that add mission trees for Ming, Tibet, Central Asia and Siberia.Agree.
One more dlc for Middle East and then EU 5
2024 seems to far away, but who knows, maybe you are right. My bet is 2023.They still have to release at least 2 more Immersion packs (and some free patches between them). Maybe, at the earliest, it will be announced in late 2023, but most likely in 2024.
Seeing that we'll get at least 2 more immersion packs, one most likely in Spring and the other in Autumn 2023, I don't think 2024 is too far fetched now.2024 seems to far away, but who knows, maybe you are right. My bet is 2023.
If you don't like it anymore, you don't have to play it.Unpopular opinion: Let this game die already.

I don't think it's even in development yet, if it is I think it's very early stages, CK2 had quite a long time without DLC before CK3's announcement and we've effectively had at least 2 more immersion packs already confirmed.2024 seems to far away, but who knows, maybe you are right. My bet is 2023.
The good thing is that they can’t take away Eu4 even if Eu5 would suck, but we don’t know yetYep and a mobile game UI with useless 3D models....
Exactly why I don't want an EU5.
Definitely agree, that’s just what comes with paradoxes dlc policy Eu4 has now been developed on for many years. Eu5 will have to go through the same transition. Eu5 , at the start, will probably be more comparable to Eu4 with only the updates, none of the dlc.I'm not sure you understand what EU5 would look like. It's all well and good wanting an EU5, but you have no idea what it'll look like.
I fear it'll follow the same trend as CK2 -> CK3 and in part to VIC2 -> VIC3. Just EU4 base game, with a few features incorporated but most completely scrapped for recycle DLC, a horrendous UI that looks like it's come straight from a mobile game and some 3D models that are simply not needed in anyway. EU5 will NOT be as good as EU4 on release, that's a certainty. IF EU5 does release, it'll take years for it to reach EU4's level of content, and plenty of very overpriced DLC (looking at you Royal Court).
That's why I want EU4 to be fully finished before they move on, let's hope they fix multiplayer in a later patch too. That way, IF EU5 releases, I can continue to play EU4 with no issues for years to come, because as of right now, there's plenty more content EU4 can cover, and for me, the game is in it's best state in a long time.
TLDR, stop begging for EU5 if you don't know what it's going to look like.
CK3 started development in 2015. The last CK2 DLC was released in late 2018.I don't think it's even in development yet, if it is I think it's very early stages,
