Okay, on to the ass-kicking the Axis so richly deserves. Presented in chronilogical order:
Our air campaign has two objectives. Slag German production and entice the Luftwaffe to its own slaughter.
So far, so good.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world Japan insists on challenging our naval power. The AI is insane or incompetent or both. After this first battle it sends small groups of ships at us, like moths to a flame.
We win many victories, the IJN gets chewed up, but few ships are lost.
Not to be outdone, the KM, even the Finnish navy, charge into the fray (or meatgrinder, depending on who tells the story). Here's a couple of German DDs west of Ireland trying to sneak back to Norway.
And some U-Boats from Norway trying to get at our convoys. Allied naval dispositions have worked out well so far.
Two Kongo class battlecruisers are next up.
Carriers verses U-boats, never a good match.
Results of our air campaign over Cologne. Scratch one city! The Luftweaffe seems to be avoidung us.
Kreigsmarine on a death ride. Gneisenau, the pre-deadnaughts and most of the rest of the German surface fleet. This should help the Soviets control the Baltic.
More U-Boats take their last dive. On the left 4 IJN CAs get power spanked.
Germany couldn't hang with the Allies. We just kept sending more troops until they cracked. We'll take the offensive in France after this.
Tirpitz comes out from Brest to find . . . the French fleet? Really, that's the FRENCH fleet. But who would expect the Tirpitz to be hiding in Brest in 1944? We were looking for Destroyes, U-boats, maybe a cruiser, not the fraking Tirpitz. In any event she's chased back into port. Next time there will be a much more appropriate welcoming committe.
The Japanese divisions just seem to evaporate.
