This sounds more like aliens invasion from EU2/HOI1 times.I want a first persion swordster as a byzantine soldier who kills alone 1000000 turks and latin crusaders and then revolts against byzantium and all alone becomes emperor of byzantium![]()

Eastern Europe needs far more provinces, at least double or triple it has now.
Nonsense. Eastern European names are hard to pronounce and the western audience doesn't know their geography there. Just have Poland as one big province (maybe with Danzig or something as a smaller one) and then we'll be done.
When a battle takes place, there should be a 3D animation of some warriors fighting, and you could use quicktime events (and perks, perks, perks!) to control it. And it needs to have high-quality motion blur and fog, which are both things which everybody notices and admires, especially people who aren't journalists or high-spec PC builders. And screen jam. Lots of goey red screen jam.
Every playable country needs a pre-rendered intro with a gruff voiceover, along with real-time rendered leader portraits and cities.
Also, an online trading card game should be released for EUIV.
I like your idea in principle, but it wouldn't reflect the importance and strength of Poland and Russia during EU3/4 times. How about: 1 province for France, Spain, Italy, Britain, then 2 or 3 for Germany (due to its importance as HRE), and around 50 for Poland and Russia each? You can't neglect some cities in Eastern Europe just because they are small villages now; they were important forts back then that were crucial to the history of Europe.I have a better idea: three provinces for all Eastern Europe - Poland, Balkans and Russia (that could be named "Siberia in Europe").
