I used console command caled add_opinion on Austria to join HRE as Poland at the beginning of my game,
however it is giving this odd modifier 'same religion' and it is not going down.
Any clue if there is a command to decrease opinion or clear all commands I used in current game?

If it's +25 it's a normal opinion modifier because presumably both Austria and Poland are Catholics.

I have two same modifires:
same religion +25 (as you said)
same religion +200 (I used add_opinion twice)

Now I want to get rid of +200 but I am unable to find console command to decrease opinion.

Maybe somehow I can remove it from the save file?

Please help :c

Don't think there is an option to remove that. If you only want to join the HRE, you can just use yesman. Activate it, join HRE and deactivate it.

Unfortunately 'yesman' command do not allow me to join HRE. It is still saying that I need 200 relations and I have 25.

Still - I was able to remove this +200 'same religion' modifier in my save file.
Thanks guys for all your help!

Just to be sure:
If I declare war on Y, which is guaranteed by X, X can not call in its allies?

Same when X warned me and I attack a nation bordering X?

you have the option of checking the box, it's up to you in box cases.

Another scenario which you might be thinking about instead: if you declare war on Z, which is allied with Y and you box him, Y will be able to call in all his own allies, all his guarantees, but he won't call in his trib overlord, the HRE emperor or warning issuing countries that would have otherwise reacted if you declared on Y directly.

Question: I've got a fairly successful Champa game (aiming to Form Malaya), but I'm not sure if I want to spend the Bird Mana to accept the various other Malayan cultures in the interim. I remember that there were threads about how forming Russia (after accepting other Russian subcultures) made it so that the now-automatically-accepted cultures (because of forming a Cultural Union) still took up Accepted Culture slots even after they were automatically accepted. Is this bug still in effect?

Hey fellow Emperors,

short question: I as Swizerland want to support independence with Sweden vs. Denmark. But I cant because of a -1000 malus that says "you cannot reach Denmark" (I dont play in english, so my translation might not be exact)

I got military access to all countries between me and Denmark, including Denmark, but the malus persists. Any ideas? I dont have access to the sea / ports.

thx in advance :)

You need a Port or Direct border with a the overlord of the nation you want to support. Not sure if you need to be within coring range of overlord ..or if its unlimited if you and overlord have ports. This works vice versa too, if you play as subject and want to ask support independence

Just want to know what this means and why am I getting it?

[virtualfilesystem_physfs.cpp:1239]: Could not open file: history/1061 - Yeniseysk.txt, error: not found

The file is in the game so I can't understand why I'm getting this? Any help would be most appreciated. :)

Thx for the quick answer! I will try it out. Getting a port is doable, happy I dont need a noteworthy fleet :D

While playing as England I will create Normandy as my vassal and give him all provinces in Northern France, will still I get 'Surrender of Maine' event?
No, you won't get the event

Is that the exact error message? In that case why do you have a file "history/1061 - Yeniseysk.txt"? It should be history/provinces/1061 - Yeniseysk.txt
Is this in the normal game or do you use any mods?

@grotaclass - If you mean the province file then yes it is in the history folder. This is the first ever time I've seen this error report whilst modding the game. I've asked on discord and no one seems to have any clue why I've getting this? They always ask me if the file is in the history folder and I always say yes.

Anyway, this is just one of many lines with the same error in my error log.

I don't know enough about eu4 modding to answer your question, but it seems weird to me that the province files are directly in the history folder when they are in provinces subfolder in the unmodded game.

@grotaclas - Which is why I posted this question here since I mod all the time and this is the first time I've seen this. I mean it doesn't stop the game from loading but it does come up as an error which is weird.

So is there anyone here that knows about the error below who can help me figure out why this is happening?

[virtualfilesystem_physfs.cpp:1239]: Could not open file: history/1061 - Yeniseysk.txt, error: not found
