How can I move my capital? What requirements have to be met to move it?

I am playing as Ryukyu and would like to move my capital from Okinawa to Australia. The first time I tried, the mouseover tooltip said I need 200 ADM points. Got there and it was still grayed out and the tooltip now said that my capital needs to be isolated. I'm on an island surrounded by the Japan, Ming, and Korea (although I have colonies in Taiwan and the Philippines). What can be more isolated that that?

The tooltip is outdated I believe.

You can only move your capital to another continent, if you have only one province on your current continent: i.e. just the capital itself.

Australia is a different continent to Asia, so that's why. I'm not sure if China counts as a different continent to Japan/Ryuyku, possibly not, so it's possible you could move it into the Asian mainland, but not to Australia, Europe, Americas etc, unless you just have one province left where you are now.

Is there a cheat to get rid of my 0-0-0 king? I keep sending him into battle, but he keeps surviving.

That explains it. Thanks for the information.

It seems stupid to consider islands the same as continental provinces in this regard. If my capital is on an island province, I should be able to move it to a continental province (even in a different continent). Any sizable fleet which shows up can effectively cut Okinawa off from my empire.

I guess the developers don't want to make it easy to play as Ryukyu (and earn the achievement). I'm stuck on my isolated island and I am stuck with my backwards religion.

Within a single continent, all you need is 200 ADM.

If you want to move your capital to a different continent, you need 200 ADM and you must also get rid of all other provinces you currently own in the same continent as your current capital. (Ideally by selling them to vassals, so that you can ultimately get them back.)

Footnote: Yes, Ryukyu counts as being in Asia, so you could move your capital to (say) Siberia or the Levant or India, but you can't move it to Australia or Europe or the Americas.

Playing as Brandenburg I got elected as an emperor to my surprise in 1465, Austria screwed up too much annexing provinces. I was pretty satisfied when Austria than called me into a war vs. Burgundy. Got 100% score, their ruler is a military leader, no heir, however the Burgundy inheritance doesn't occur. Reloaded and tried it again.
Does anyone has an idea what am I missing? Is it simply MTTH? shouldn't be at war with them as an emperor?

I just got an event that gives me +1 Stab, since I'm swimming in AMP (stupidly picked another diplo idea group and have to wait 13 years for the next admin tech...) I am already at +3. Is there anything I could do that costs stab and wouldn't normally be done, but might be benefitial in this case? I remember in EU3 there were things you could adjust that would cause stab hits...

Off the top of my head, the best case MTTH is still around 10 years.

About 5.5 years; all the warscore modifiers apply, not just the best one.

You have at least 8 provinces I hope; non-Austrian Emperor needs at least 8 to be able to inherit.

Playing as Poland, can I join the HRE and have Austria be an ally of mine? Last time I did this Austria would protect me as Emperor, but did not want me as an ally.

If I went to join the HRE, what would be an alternative powerful ally to have? Denmark? France is a bit far away and usually has a hard time helping me early on.

I had an Ironman Burgundy game going but now when I load it says it's no longer Ironman, the little Ironman mailed fist icon still shows up but the right by the country info but the save file on the left is missing the Ironman icon. This isn't a huge deal but I was wondering if I should report it in the bug forum or if there might be something else causing it. I don't think I ever disconnected.

It's just a visual bug.

when you choose offensive as an idea group , the "plus 1 shock" ect does that add 1 more pip to your generals shock stat , for example a general with 3 shock without offensive, would have 4 shock with offensive ?

as castille i have several provinces that do not get "same religion overseas", both in africa and in america, even when bordering provinces do get the bonus.
as an example, i diplo-annexed aztecs, but a handful of their northernmost provinces do not get the modifier. what am i doing wrong?

Correct, all the "leader *skill* +1" increase every leaders pips in battle (or Siege) by one

Afaik it only adds them to new generals, but I'm not 100% sure. But yes, a general that would normally roll 3 shock pips would now have 4, pretty useful for nations that haven't got the lucky nation bonus (i.e. players :p)

First quick check: did you convert them yet? Might be that you missed a tooltip

This. Note though that the stats are still capped at 6 so if you habitually only make new generals at extremely high tradition you may not see much difference in the results.
