Hi,

Am I missing something regarding how Great Power status is calculated? Shouldn't the leftmost column for Malaya (as I'm playing as) be 698/1.5 = 465?

After I took the screenshot, I tried to see if it was just a presentation error, so I increased my development with 2 from 698 to 700, and Malaya is still not pushing Bahmanis off the list. I've waited until the turn of the month and year.

Are you a tributary or some other kind of subject?

Anglican

what are the exact prerequisites? i think i fulfilled all of those which are mentioned in the Wiki. Do you have to be Protestant? Can you even get Anglican if you pass Anti-Reformation act?

Your religion does not matter, but it is better to stay catholic to avoid converting twice, because converting is painful. I don't think Counter Reformation has any impact judging by the code.
15 years after reformation starts, there is MTTH of 120 months for the event to fire, so you can expect it around 25 years after reformation started. But this is luck-based, so it can be 15 years and a month after Reformation, or 40 years after it.

Between 15 years after Protestantism and 1600, MTTH of 120 months. MTTH decreased by being England (if GB does not exist) or GB or by the statue in restraint of appeals decision. MTTH increased by being England while GB exists or not having London as a cored province. Additionally you need to have a capital in the British isles and need to be in British culture group and Christian religious group, but no DoF. The event can only spawn once (at all, not just for every tag) and the AI will convert 75% of the time. Source: game files.

the usual problem is that ANOTHER tag gets the event by lucking out on MTTH, and declines. any tag in english culture group can get it.

The entire MTTH event is bad design to flip to anglicanism, it should pop up with national decision instead if you ask me, like you can switch to other religions by national decision.

i just used zealots.

Yeah that's what Wiki said, but i never got the chance to get the event. How does it even make sense for any country other than England to get this event? Going to restart i guess. So long, 15 hours of intense gameplay. Now its restarting time once again.

Thanks anyway.

How do I move capital to New World in 1.25? I'm going for Sleepless in Seattle achievement and the only was I can think of is to get 4 provinces in North America so that CN doesn't form, sell everything in old world except 10 provinces with coffee and move capital there. Is there an easier way? I don't want to keep clicking on every province I own.

e your capital to a different continent, a la Portugal moving

And capital had to be the only province on that continent (Africa for me) for me to be able to move capital to Seattle. Client state helped with that.

What should my army composition be? It's 1517, and I have full unlocked Quality, and I have built to force limit. I know that I should fill out my CW and then fill artillery in; however, what puzzles me is how much cavalry I should include as Poland as the Winged Hussars seem to have an insane modifier. Should I have more, or less cavalry?

You have 2 main options:

1) Include ~8 cavalry in each stack (so long as you're not going over insufficient support). You could have more but after 8 units it'll be a lot more expensive to maintain for not that much of a benefit over infantry. (The fire phase comes first.) So basically what you're doing now.

2) Have a stack of pure cavalry to about 1.2x combat width, and send it in a day before you send in the infantry. They'll only get 1 day of insufficient support, and then in the shock phase wipe the floor with the opposition - they don't redeploy out of the front line straight away, so you have a full CW of cavalry hitting the enemy, but still get the benefit from the infantry being present. This requires a lot of micro but can be fantastically effective. If you go down this route, get yourself a cossacks estate (and maybe even consider aristocratic ideas).

What happens if I have a PU and switch to any non-christian faith through rebels? Do I lose the PU?

i think you keep them, but you can't integrate them.

it was like that during many patches.

I dunno if you can force your PU to your new religion and THEN integrate them.

you should console test it really, this is uncharted territory for me ;)

Not sure if this question fits under bug reports or here, since i might just be overseing something.

When patch 1.25 launched i started a new game as England before buying the DLC because i forgot to. I buy "Rule Britannia" about 30 years into the campaign, and continue onwards because everything seems fine so far (i didn't check for coal). The year is now 1650 and i was wandering when coal might spawn so i checked my provinces' trade goods and no provinces in the world shows as having coal as a latentive (or whatever it is called) trade good.
Is it not possible to see this before coal spawns or is it because i started the game before buying the DLC.

You have to have your capital be the only stated province on a continent, so the easiest option is to use provinces like Bermuda, South Georgia, Falklands and Galapagos or the Pacfici Oceanian islands who are easily the only province you'll state in a continent, to state them, and to move capital there before moving it to the New World. Same as it has ever been.
I got Sleepless in Seattle and Land of Eastern Jade as the Mahayana nation in Philippines, I moved capital to Hawai before moving it to Seattle.
