No, in fact the opposite effectively. And no, I don't think we are close to EU5 at all, maybe in 2 years time we will be. We shall see.

It’s creative bankruptcy and Pdox is just ruthless milking EU4 with pointless content to keep the lights on and their interns occupied.
But hey, plenty of indoctrinated fan hordes going to buy it. Sad times.
I am afraid not. I believed/hoped Domination would be the last DLC of EU4.Has Domination been confirmed as the last EU4 DLC? We've got to be getting close to EU5 by now.
No, we're not.I feel like people saying "another Mission Tree DLC" are a bit unfair.
I'm not a fan of them either but they're very neat and easy for marketing. Lions of the North has good reviews and sold well.No, we're not.
The mission trees are given pride of place in the dev diaries.
It's a Russia-related Sisters of Mercy tune at least.Heard a streamer miscall it Dominion. Think that might have been a better name.

We have been hoping for in the next patch for 10 years. Eventually they will move onto EUV and we still won't have addressed the issue. I've lost hope, and with it any hype to buy the expansion now that we Byzantinophiles have been passed by yet again.Can always hope for the next patch for Byzantium.
Yep. Doesn't mean we need a whole new game though.The engine is showing its age
In fairness, the Byzantine Empire plays an extremely small role in this time frame, being wiped out very shortly after the start date. It doesn't make much sense to give them a brand new tree and events when in reality they were stomped on. It would be really difficult to balance too, because it's one of the most renowned starting positions due to its difficulty, so changing the tree may make it easier, or harder, upsetting a lot of players, so best leave it as is for now.We have been hoping for in the next patch for 10 years. It really is a case of "byzaboos gonna byzaboo".dont understand people upset about lack of byzantium content.
Forum wouldn't feel right without it...It really is a case of "byzaboos gonna byzaboo".
God I wish they would do something similar to the Manchu update. Hell this could’ve been the perfect scope for a Manchu style great powers update, with content that adds onto the existing flavor packs (making them actually worthwhile purchases) but no, we have the worst PR move possible.My opinion is if they decide to revisit HRE, Germany and Italy they should do it for free. Like you said most of the nations i mentioned are al ready part of the Emperor DLC. If they want to elevate some missions, modifiers and other stuf go for it. It could be like 1.29 Manchu update which offered free content for all EU4 players.
Not as bad as those of us who love EU but hate Mana.If you like EU but hate Mission Trees you're really in for a bad time these last few years ^^;
