No, that's something to be fixed.

Unfortunately, I'm still stuck with the four measly tech teams and can't even use the fifth slot I've just got.

You should be able to proclaim Russia and get Russian teams if:
- you are at peace and control Omsk
- SOV and SIB are gone
- there is no Russia yet
- Turkestan doesn't control Novosibirsk, Omsk or Kansk

Thank you, Redding - indeed, shortly after I continued playing after my post the mentioned event triggered and I transformed into Imperial Russia with all its tech teams.

I've played on until mid 1954 but strangely enough ran into a menpower (!) problem as Russia. Now, Fatherland might do things in a different way than other mods and I'm not understanding its mechanics yet. But I'm only able to field about 90 divisions as Imperial Russia. Unmobilized, I get 0.00099 menpower increase per day while ruling over SOV, SIB, Imperial Russia and Cossack territory. It seems incredibly low to me. What's the matter here? What am I doing wrong?

Also, are there any ways to "unlock" more tech team slots? Right now I'm limited to 5, with an IC base of about 200.

Open db/Misc.txt and search for:

# Max active tech teams at a time (cannot be more then 50). Note: New Technology page layout will be auto-set for values above 5!

As noted, 50 is the maximum.
 
I tried for the first time my hand in modding by adding a little bit of flavors to Vichy France, honestly only that took a good 30-40 hours of my time, you are real beasts to be able to create a great mod like this, that must have taken thousands of hours of your time.

For the majority of events i took a lot of inspiration of those for the soviet union. I'll attach all the modification i've made if it can help. If you have any question it'll be a pleasure to answer them!

I have question about nuclear weapons. I cannot use nukes like in other mods. I play like SS Germany And I have 50 nukes. I cannot use them in strategic bomber pro ICBM. If I load nuke on ICBM there Is no option in scroll menu and there Is ONLY "none" And "strategic redeployment" option. Can you help anybody? Use nukes Is hidden in events or this Is some bug? I play DH of HOI on Steam and I play a lot Kaiserreich, where I used nukes many times, So there Is no problem in "how can I use Nukes" issue.
But anyway, this mod Is really good. One of the best mods ever. My top 3 with Kaiserreich And Fallout. Thanks a lot!

Normally DH enables nuke mission via research. This works well for the historical WW2 scenario - by the time nukes appear, everyone is already killing everyone in one world-wide mess.

However in Fatherland scenario this all too often means that some Barbados peasants rebel against their British overlords and get a can of instant sunshine from Uncle Sam. That felt a bit silly, so the nuking task is enabled by "Deployment of Nuclear Weapons Authorized" event (930113). This is meant to restrict nukes to WW3 when three blocks have a go at each other.

So I will continue with worsening relationship in KalterKrieg, because my beautiful SS country waiting for eradicading Allies scum from our beautiful planet. :D
And last question. This event with nukes show only in war with Allies? Or I can autorize Nukes in the peace time?

Hey, it is event 930113 if I’m not mistaken. If you think the game is stuck somewhere, you can activate that event manually and authorise nukes!

Ok so I decided to load up the new version of the mod with a comfy RoC game, defeating Mao and then modernising the industry, something laid back whilst I'm sick. I quickly noticed the new content Germany and the German East have, which is nice, but I did notice a few things. Because of the new way in which the German East is set up, in the wake of Hitler's death and the chaos in the east, the event that for example transforms the Lokot Republic into the Russian National Republic leaves the Belarussian border area and Novgorod area German. So a really ugly stretch of German land from St. Petersburg to Ukraine. Second, in my campaigns to reintegrate lost territories like Xinjiang and Mongolia, I got into a war with Turkestan and Siberia as well because of the Siberian-Mongolian pact that can form very early on. I owned all of Siberia except for the land of the Far Eastern Republic which the USA had conquered and granted to Japan. I also just couldn't give the territory away to the USSR since that diplomatic action was blocked. It would be nice if there were events for these kinds of situations. But, to tie this in to a older discussion of a standard anti-Axis US game being boring: allow for the USA to decide to invade Russia through Vladivostok. Imagine this: the USA invades Vladivostok to topple Rodzaevsky. It then sets up the UN Trust Territory of the Russian Far East. There is then a choice as to what the goal of this Trust Territory is. It can be a temporary arrangement untill a singular Russian government comes out of the chaos and is then reannexed. Or, the US can decide that communism just won't do and they'll bring democracy to Russia, driving west from Vladivostok. Once the US comes into conflict with the USSR, it would probably trigger German intervention as well, seeing them drive for the Urals. This choice can also probably be influenced by the UN-Comintern relationship value. Finally, it would be nice to give China a option to intervene in the Indochina War, but this would probably have to tie in further with work on the UN and work on Free France since the Indochinese Union falls under their authority.

Finally, I also just started up a German game to experience the new content. The Cossacks didn't allow for me to build a defensive line through their land so I invaded them, but no event triggered on what to do with their land. Is this WAD (because I know Muscovy is only organized upon a second German victory over the USSR) or do I just hand over the land to RK Kaukasien manually? Since I also see a RK Don-Wolga has popped up in my releasables.

Yeah, Lokot should probably get those bits.

Events for the Soviets to demand territory in Siberia/Far East/Turkestan from the Chinese? Sure, this can be added.

Current release doesn't have a specific event for that, but the next one does (including ceding of territory to RK Kaukasus if RK Don-Wolga is created).

Now compare that to the number of Hoi4 let's plays/streams. You can find a let's play for almost every country in the game, even Bhutan or Tibet.

In recent years, I only remember some streams from Denchikus and now these new ones from Warhawk Rambo aka Tommy Vercetti.
Darkest Hour/Hoi2 is a super niche game at this point, so it's nice to see any new content about it.
