Would there be any way to include an opening sequence to the TGW programme?

Instead of having the 'the year is 1936...' sequence, perhaps it could be replaced by a home-grown production to begin the game with something of a fanfare?

Or is this just wishful thinking? :p

I have a short video of the King oOwn (Royal Lancaster) 4/5th btn going to war. I might be able to have it digitised if someone could make use of it and has editing software.

Being 1914, it had no sound originally, but I imagine some suitable music could be added.

Just a suggestion.

My thoughts exactly - some video clips of cheering crowds/mobilised troops marching/Grand Fleet crashing through the sea with some good music would seem quite flashy!

It could all culminate in 'Hearts of Iron: The Great War' landing its way on the screen in a dramatic way. :D

It would be nice, but... It seems like the opening videos are in some strange "Bink Video" .bik-format... I can't edit movies either... :(

If someone knows how to, tell!

I tried my hand at creating my own sprite, with the standard British infantry sprite as the template.

Disasterously, the result was that the soldier that I created, if anything, resembled a large khaki blob more than the hopeful Tommy Atkinses of 1914.

I'm appealing for help...

21 March 1918... Ludendorff's gamble is about to begin, and the Stosstruppen stand ready for Germany's final offensive...

...But wait! What are those British units waiting for them in Lille and Amiens? :)

Umm....tractors with a gun slapped on it? :D

Looking good StephenT! Keep'em coming.

So do I.

So you know, I've just started a new thread (on this forum) purely to list sprites which are complete, which ones people are working on, and which are still required.

I suggest general comments and discussions about graphics are still kept on this thread, to keep the other one short and sweet and on-topic.

My intro screen never went anywhere... You could paste those other pictures onto it. Although someone seems to have gone to alot of trouble to make a new one. Oh well let elison decide which to use or how to merge...
