My expierience with the hotfix:
1. I had to bulldoze lots of high density houses because they lost their road access, no reason in the streets visible. In 1.2.0f1 everything was ok.
2. The performance is very bad (1,2 Mio cims). Before the uodate I could play the game, after it is not more possible.
Is there a function to go back to 1.2.0f1? I don't want to loose my game.
when i update through steam, those vt.cok files "reads/writes" for a good 30 min after downloading 3.8gb.I would like to know if there was also changes in textures of the game, since the update is quite big for the short list of fixes or it's just that the cok files are giant zip files and making small changes in assets require repairing this 54gb file every time...

100% agree but, I understand this is by design. dlss/amdstuff "fixes" it. however this introduces ghosting. this is good graphics in todays standard. it happens on lots of modern games. normal SMAA doesnt work if your not wanna bleed your eyes because those "optimised for upscaler AI" graphics programmers.. imo it only looks good (except ghosting trails, if sim speed lets it) if you run the game in 2x resolution (dlaa) AND enable AI upscaler (dlss). this cant be whats supose to happen. i just tried again and remember this is one main reason i dont like this game. you get used to it, but it gets to you if you switch between older games. where modern hardwhare can crank resolution or smaa to realy improve graphics fidelity. here we just hope dlss gets beter. and Intel invents some "AI cpu core generation".Thanks for the update.
Please please please, finally fix the global illumination setting. It has been a year and you still get sparking trees depending on the time of day. This issue has been submitted countless times by lots of players and is an issue on every savegame, on every map and on every game session when you have day/night cycle turned on.
I can't believe such a gigantic, easy to see issue has persisted for more than a year. It can only be fixed by turning of global illumination. Just remove the option altogether if you don't plan on fixing it.
I keep hoping they finally fixed this with every update, but it never seems the happen...

I just updated through Steam. Download (3.9 GB, i believe) took approx. 15-20 seconds, game was instantly updated once the download completed.when i update through steam, those vt.cok files "reads/writes" for a good 30 min after downloading 3.8gb.
Finally I will stop clicking on parks when trying to plant some trees.Updated Terraforming, Vegetation, ParksandRecreation and Landscaping icons.
Bet the answer you'll get is "virtual texturing" cuz it's always that.Heya, thanks for the hotfix!
Could anyone from CO/PDX update us on the asset editor? Last status update was in september and we've currently no idea where it's at 14 months after release. It would be appreciated to know if it's supposed to come anytime soon or if it's still facing deep issues that will keep delaying its release for a long time. Whatever is the answer, I think proactive communication would be prefered rather than let the community in the dark for so long about a critical feature.
The game literally has launch options every time you open the game (unless you bypass it). If you're afraid of mod compatibility, maybe you should start using it. And patch announcements are all over the place, here, in steam client... hard to miss it.Why haven't the developers implemented the disabling of the active playlist when the game is launched on new versions yet? You don't warn players when there will be updates so that I can do it myself in advance. I have to launch the game twice when an update is released.
it's 12 in-game years. Before it was, I think, 15? Consider that it takes like 2 years to get from a child into a teenager, and a year to finish middle school. It's fine. It's just elders that have shorter life expectancy, so to speak. And what does the max age mean?
Will former students suddenly drop dead shortly after having got their first job?
Only primary schools have "well-being" coverage shown, always had, it says so in the tooltip even.Has the info view for High Schools been fixed in this one? Its the only education building that doesn't show the road coverage

Have been at work all day and haven't yet tried again. I will probably uninstall and reinstall the game again first before filing a bug report.Did you manage to pass this error?
Thanks for the info, I am only running two mods ... Extended Tooltip and InfoLoom.I get thiss error too. It's a mod, because loading the game without mods works fine. But which one? If someone finds out please post here.
Word from the community says infoloom was causing some problemsThanks for the info, I am only running two mods ... Extended Tooltip and InfoLoom.
ugh -- the one mod that makes the game playable with homelessness still an issue. grrrr.Word from the community says infoloom was causing some problems
have you try to unlink steam account and relink it?@co_avanya After this patch, when playing through GeforceNow, the game doesn't recognise me owning creator packs anymore - lost complete access to them, and content gone. Anyone else experiencing same issue? It worked fine yesterday..
@co_avanya wondering -- is this why urban promenades would crash to desktop? I'm wondering if those buildings are safe to use now.Fixed crash to desktop caused by a missing zone type after a building levels up.
Yes. One day equals one month in the calendar, and there's 12 months in a year (obviously)Max age is now 120 game days (10 in-game years?). Is it true that one in-game year equals 12 in-game days?
