I want to implement Burma instead of Mexico. Now I know I have to alter the leader, monarch and revolt.txt Also, the shields, and flags. Change the name attached to SAR in the text.csv Is there anything I am missing? I have done this and it seems to work fine, but I want to know for sure.
TIA

Hartmann, I posted a new thread in regards to IGC 1.8 and Real EU 2.0 problems (seperate and combined) in this forum. I probably should have posted here, but wanted to combine things together.

Cheers.

CoT problem

I just fired up my first ICG V1.8. With the wonderful interface!!

I activated Tuscany and Bavaria as minors and I am playing Tuscany.

This is a minor bug, and there is a work around, but . ..

Normally you can put the hand cursor over the crate boxes of a CoT and left-click to have the trade screen for that particular trade center pop up.

I can not do that with the Genoa trade center. Annoying.

I can place traders in Genoa, by getting the trade map up and then clicking on the Genoa shield, which does pop up the trade screen enabling me to place the traders.

Annexation problems

I hope this is the right place to post this...

I'm playing as Brandenburg. I decide I want a piece of the Hanseatic League, namely Mecklenburg with it's COT. So I invade and capture the province. I try to offer peace but in the 'demand' list there are no provinces to choose from. "Well" I think to myself, "I guess i might as well take the whole lot then". So I capture Bremen, the league's last province (out of 2), and go to the peace screen. The game informs me that I can annex the entire League, so I press 'annex'. But boohoo! The league refuses! Seems like it is fond of it's independence... I try to offer peace again, this time without annexing. But on the province list only Bremen, not Mecklenburg, is available. (And I *do* control both provinces)

What to do?

EU 1.08
IGC 1.8
forced annexation ON

edit: the league is not considered a major, ie with golden shield; only I am a such.

autosave problem

Whether this is IGC or not (I do not know):

I tried turning on yearly auto-save in my IGC and it fails to do it. This was mid-game and not prior to starting a new game (which may be the problem if you can't alter the options mid-game).

Addendum:

If I save the game and then close and later on fire up the game again, the auto-save starts working. BTW the same phenomena is occuring IGC1.9

BTW my memory is that the out-of-the-box game, I could change the auto-save on the fly. Is this correct or am I halleucinating?

My impression is, that the occasionally non-working of the autosave is related to speed ...

Any idea as to how? What I have seen is that it is either working (yearly variety is all I've tested) or not working. And once it starts working it continues to do so, the next day when I reload the game.

Thanks, its nice to know if others see the same behavior so you know you aren't halleucinating from lack of food, sleep, . . . ;)

Java VM error?

Hello, using the newest IGC, and have downloaded the latest version of Java VM from Microsoft. The patch itself will work, but IGCConfig will not (Java error message). The IGC will run but I would like to be able to use Config. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, or if there is a fix for this? Thanks....

Happy Jack

Try this. no.. seriously.. (no kidding)

1. try to run the IGC Config Tool ("Tool") from Explorer. I bet it runs if you do have the latest MS virtual machine installed.

2. So.. you then try to place a shortcut on the desktop? And it doesn't work right?

3. OK. Do this: Drag and drop (from Explorer) the "tool" (it will just make a shortcut anyway).

4. Bet if you click on it now (the icon on your desktop) it will work.

Let us know.

The patch itself will work, but IGCConfig will not

If one works but not the other it might indicate previous tampering with the files. What exactly is the Java error message?
