Help new to the forum and was doing a IR to Stellaris mega campaign, and when I realized I still had 1,000 years left in IR and was bored of it I extended the the end date. I debugged cheated the remain Roman provinces and let the game run either overnight or for 13 hours while I was at work I cant remember. The converter crashes when it get to converting characters, I'm hoping I didn't accidently brick please help
The new 2.0.2 hotfix fixes this.

If there's one thing that's vexing so far it's how I:R Monarchies, with laws like various flavors of Primogeniture, Seniority or Elective convert to tribal Confederate Partition in CK3.

I'm currently rewriting the converter backend in C#, so the C++ version will only get hotfixes. Anything beyond those or data files will need to wait until the rewrite's over.

I'm trying to covert from an imperator game I played to about 456 AD - I've updated the date on the save and am choosing to convert based on age. Getting an error at the beginning of the character import process it looks like, though there is no error message I can see in the log.txt; it just kinda stops. It's a pretty big save file bc I played for so long, so maybe that is part of it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I see someone saying there's a new version that may fix this, but it's unclear to me where the new version is.

Edit 2: Found 2.0.3 on the Github. Seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks Iliketrains

Hey mate - I am getting the same issue in CK3 after converting. Turned off all other mods as well and still crashing. It is crashing at the end of May 871 for me.

I'm May 4th 870, which is 3 years and however many month post conversion. I tried changing the date in the save file. If I change it to the 5th it thinks its the 3rd still, and if I change to the 10th (haven't tried in between yet) it does this bs: entire map is greyed out, can't choose a country, and date thinks its 1/1/1.

Edit: I tried skipping a year by editing the save, and not only does the save not work, neither does the game. It doesn't register any of my save files (new game option is the only one not greyed out) and it immediately stops responding as soon as you load the main menu

Any CK3 on Linux player here? The Linux version gives much more info about exceptions.
 
Well, long story short. I ended up wiping my hard drive by accident trying to fix my linux install. Still had an imperator save on onedrive but with the 2.0.4 version on github idk if the issue will persist or not. It's been a long night, and I'll play more tomorrow/later today. If all's well then I guess that's that. Otherwise, I'll hopefully have the linux logs up tomorrow evening.

I pushed a 2.0.4 hotfix that attempts to prevent the crashes by reverting some data files changes. It may work, but it would still be helpful if someone shared a Linux version's exception.txt from a crash that happened on a mod generated by ImperatorToCK3 2.0.2 or 2.0.3.

EDIT: The Linux version of CK3, unlike EU4, seems to be giving equally useless info in exception.txt. Any Mac player here? :p

Converted a game where I was Atropatene and a friend was Maurya. Thessalonika is supposed to be Thrace, and Persian Empire is actually the Seleucids.

Cultures are a bit weird though, Mede got converted into Kurdish, and Maghada into Nepalese. And the Roman Emperors became Italian somehow.

Also, would it be possible to have de-jure duchies map to Imperator provinces, and Empires maybe to some more relevant ones/be customizable somehow?
